Couldn't ask for more - safe, secure, modern room, overlooking a busy Piazza but well sound-proofed. Short walk to Archeology Museum or old quarter with its great shopping. Owners very helpful too. Metro station across street.

Perfect location in the Historic District, but on a street where a taxi can easily park, which is not the case for many areas in the historic district. The room was super clean with a lovely balcony overlooking Piazza Dante. The shower was fantastic! Best of all was the staff, who were so warm and kind during the 4 days we stayed here. It was nice to chat with them every morning over breakfast. We were traveling with our 8 month old daughter, and everyone was super sweet to her. We were provided with a clean, lovely crib for her. I am very sensitive to noise and the traffic did not bother me at all because of the soundproof windows. I did wake up every morning at around 7:30 when the staff began to prepare breakfast, but that was not a problem as I didn't want to sleep the day away when Naples was waiting to be visited.

Room Tip: Ask for the bigger rooms with balcony.

We researched TripAdvisor extensively before selecting B&B Piazza Dante as our first ever foray into a B&B experience. Since our stay in Naples was to be seven nights, we needed a place highly regarded, centrally located, a good value, and a place we could begin to call "home" for this and future trips.

We have returned from Naples with everything positive to say about B&B Piazza Dante, the welcoming spirit of Simona, and the home-style easiness and comfort of the property. If one looks for a signature to a property, B&B Piazza Dante has two: cleanliness and Simona's focus upon the needs of each guest. Absolutely fabulous!!

We stayed in the Beatrice room with two balconies, one overlooking Via Toledo and the other Vico Mastellone. The room's huge and weighty wooden shutters and insulated double-pane windows also about nine feet tall kept out most of the City noise (but who goes to Naples for the quiet?).

The morning breakfast was served 8-10 a.m. with heavenly Neapolitan pastry delights, thinly sliced meats and cheeses, juices, fresh bread, jellies and butter, cappuccino, espresso and teas (available 24/7), and fruits. There are also cereals available and bottled water is available 24/7.

Another highly important feature of B&B Piazza Dante is its equidistance to Metro Line 1 (Pizza Dante) and Metro Line 2 (Montesanto). You can literally get anywhere in Naples as well as Campania. E.g. to go to Sorrento, take Line 1 to Cavour, transfer to Line 2, get off at Piazza Garibaldi train station, and jump on the Circumvesuviana. The Cumana, Montensanto Metro, and Montesanto Funiculare are 2-3 blocks from B&B Piazza Dante.

The R4 bus stops on Piazza Dante to take you to the incomparable Museo Capodimonte and Archeological Museum (the later which is just 5-6 blocks from the Piazza). Via San Gregorio Armeno (aka Christmas Lane) as well as the heart of Spaccanapoli is closeby since its ancient access through Via Port'Alba is on the Piazza.

All in all, you can scoot around Naples all day for 2.6 Euros from B&B Piazza Dante.

Galleria Umberto is only a lovely mile's stroll down Via Toledo. Promenade Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights with the locales on the way there, then stop at La Sfogliatella Mary. Its worth the effort. Plus it is downhill from Piazza Dante so you can burn the new calories off on the way back.

There are also fine restaurants in the Piazza's neighborhood and fabulous street food. However, there is also a grocery (Supero', we believe) tucked up Vico Mastellone where you can buy 100 grams of prosciutto, mortadella, and formaggio piccante; fresh bread to make sandwiches, olives, and red wines for a delicious and inexpensive private lunch in your room (but no eating on the bed; House Rule!).

Really, nothing was more pleasant and fun than staying at B&B Piazza Dante. Seeing Naples come to life at sunrise from the balcony with church bells ringing in the background is just part of the magic that unfolds each day from this property.

See you again soon, Simona.

Room Tip: They are all good, just a matter of how much of Naples you want around you. This trip we wanted it...

We stayed for 3 nights in this B&B.
We are a family of 4 persons and we had a spacious room for 4, with a great view on the Piazza!
The room was great, the room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was delicious etc etc.
Pleasant was the fact that we could make coffee and tea any time, and we could use the refrigerator.
The B & B is in the centre of Napoli which makes it easy to visit the old city, the harbor, go shopping and a lot of good restaurants nearby.
So, do not hesitate and make a booking!

Found this b and b on line with great reviews and decided to stay there as was an easy taxi ride from the dock. What a good choice it was too. We had a lot of luggage as had just come off from a 12 night cruise, . Easy to find and so very convenient to everything around. Our hostess was wonderful and allowed us to leave three suitcases with her while we travelled the Amalfi coast for a further four days. A real priviledge as there was very obviously not too much room for her to keep them. Greatly appreciated!!
Breakfast was different and really lovely. Cuppachino, some sort of rum dipped cake and everything else too.

Our room was clean and in excellent condition with a good bed. The bathrooms were obviously built in recent years: large and modern with nice shower etc. The large breakfast was well prepared and served. The hosts are so helpful and made the stay especially enjoyable. You should note that the location is especially good. You can come from the train station on the Metro instead of a taxi if desired. The harbor area is an easy walk or you can take the bus which is quick and cost effective. The funicular up to Vomero is also nearby, and there is a spectacular view of the city and Bay of Naples. Most attracations in the old center are within easy walking distance. And an excellent value, too.

My wife and I, along with our traveling buddies, stayed for two wonderful days at this b & b. Since our buddies made the reservations, they had first choice of rooms and of course chose Dante, the first room on the left. Wise choice as our room was a third the size, cramped but comfortable, quiet at night due to the excellant windows to keep out the city sounds. These are our only discomforts that the b & b offered as the owner, Simona, could not have been more charming and helpful.
The breakfast, although limited, was fresh and tasty, including fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. A very nice feature was that water was available for free and we could use the refrigerator for our private use.
Simona told us of two restaurants that we tried. Both were fantastic. Leon's, across the piazza, was one of our best meals of the three week trip. Outdoor dining on the plaza, watching young athlete's playing soccer with zest, brougt out the best of what Italy can be. A top notch meal in a romantic city (if you ignore the crazy drivers).

Room Tip: First suite on left upon entering, Dante, is large and sunny. Nice but very small balcony overlookn...
