“Grate few days in Naples”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We had very nice 3 days in Naples, the city is fantastic and have a lot to see. Marisa B&B was up to his recommendation, the room very clean with all the comfort there was a fridge with bottle of water snack provided, we got all the info about the city and the breakfast was super. we were very well look after and had a very nice memory of Naples.

Room Tip: We were in the red room and apparently was the best one...

This was our first visit at Marisa' s b&b. our friends had stayed with her before. The approach to the entry is up a side street and very unpretentious. We met with Marisa as soon as we arrived . She proudly showed us the rooms that were available to us. We chose one with a large bathroom and view of the inside courtyard. There was a common living area with a lovely couch and tv and dining table outside of our room. The kitchen had it all~stove fridge dishwasher and washer all for general use. Our first day was spent with Marisa showing us all of the area of Naples within walking distance of her home. She introduced to Marco with the restaurant of the same name. His warmth and hospitality made our decision to have dinner there.. That's a separate review.
We had family visit us at b&b. Marisa was right there to welcome them and help us through the translation gap.
Breakfasts were Italian and Marisa was attentive to everyone's needs.
There is a roof top terrace with a view of Naples Bay, Mt Vesuvius, and the city. We had many Neapolitan antipastos thanks to a small local deli around the corner with two wonderful Neapolitan men who communicated with us through hand gestures. Feeding five for 30 euro including vino!.
Marisa helped us with transportation restaurants and attractions. She is a very proud Neapolitan woman and we hope to see her again soon!
The warmth and hospitality are priceless!

Fantastic B&B clean, safe and welcoming. Beautiful terrace for a true Neapolitan breakfast.
Friendly host. Speaks English - helpful in giving any local tourist information and suggested great local places to dine, and great day excursions - making sure we got the best of our trip.

I was planning to visit Naples for a general sightseeing tour and was looking for a safe, clean, central room. I began looking for accommodation a few months in advance but found many decent places were already fully booked. Chiaia 32 was one of the last resorts we found for what we were looking for but it turned out to be perfect!! When we arrived we realised it was the week of the Americas cup hence the rooms booking up quickly. We felt very at home, the room was spacious and clean and the reception staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English (our Italian was a bit rusty). It was very near the harbour but the walk was longer to other touristy areas. Bottled water was offered regularly and there was the option of breakfast included but we chose to skip it and save ourselves for the delicious Neapolitan pizza. The B&B is situated on a busy high street so there was always plenty of people around (for the safety factor) but it wasn't particularly noisy. I would definitely recommend this place to friends looking to stay a few night in Naples or to couples.

Fantastic place to enjoy Naples and all of its beautiful surrounding. The host, Marisa is making everything perfect! Breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view over the bay with freshly baked bread and napolitan coffee, will make the best start of your day.

I couldn't recommend this place more highly for location, cleanliness and the most incredible host, Marissa, who is not only a superb cook but also a mine of information on all manner of things Napoli. We stayed as a family with 2 teenage boys using italy's superb public transport system to see Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Sorrento and the islands. Its a short walk from the train station in the heart of one of the oldest quarters of Naples where old ladies sit outside at all times of the day and night gossiping and greeting you as you pass by. You really feel welcomed here and part of the community. The apartments are very old but light and airy and in a gated commune with concierge so very very safe. You have never eaten traditional italian breakfast until you experience it here. Marissa speaks excellent english.

Room Tip: Not sure if all rooms have balconies but ours did

The Chiaia Bed and Breakfast also offer a splendid apartment, apart from the bed and breakfast but with all the facilities to cook your own meals in an independant kitchen. A large and luminous dining room/living room, a fabulous modern bathroom, a bedroom with enough space for 3 peoples (a queen bed and a single bed available) all this sparking clean and situated in a quiet environment. Marisa, the hostess of the bed and breakfast, is absolutely charming and helpfull while very discreet. It is possible for the occupants to use a roof-top terrasse with a view on the bay of Naples.
The apartment is an easy walk from the metro station and near all the services and restaurants. WIFI included with a strong signal, free of charge. All this at a very reasonnable price. We stayed 4 nights but would certainly return for more.
