We were unsure what exactly to expect as the owner has limited English but we had walked past it one night and the smells coming from the food were so far and away better than any other restaurant in the area so we thought we would try. There are no menus but three dishes are made form the fish you choose.
When we were arrived we were treated to some rose beer and yummy bread. The waiter spoke English which was a relief as our Italian is poor. We were then asked to go and choose our fish from the huge array, this was to form the basis of all three dishes. No idea what the fish was we chose but it was flat and had big eyes! the starter was ceviche fish with a langoustine on a bed of salad. I do not really like sushi and would never choose this on a menu but it was superb. The pasta with the fish was sublime, the best course on our holiday. The final course was a fillet of the fish with layered potato slices covering it. Ordinarily this would have been excellent but the other two dishes somewhat over shadowed it! A fantastic pistachio pud finished a wonderful meal. It cost about 130 euros including a bottle of wine. To be honest superb value for money and we would go again!

The chef greets everyone personally, which was a lovely start to a truly wonderful dining experience. He led us into the restaurant, to choose the fresh fish for our third course. He explained the progression of the three courses. The first course was a delightful fish served on a bed of lettuce, with some pesto and oil (the others in my party had lemon, but I'm allergic). The second course was an incredible fish pasta... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. And the third course... wow! The fillet was cooked perfectly, and served under a covering of nearly paper thin potatoes. I've never seen anything like it!

Be prepared, if you sit outside, that it is Europe, and there will be people smoking. That was truly an unpalatable addition to what would, otherwise, have been a perfect evening.

We arrived just as a very heavy rainstorm started so it looked good and we got a table. The waiter explained there was no menu but if we picked a fish the chef would prepare it two different ways. I am always wary in a place new to me when a vague concept like this is presented but we went ahead and chose a small gilt head bream which was eventually served firstly as a ceviche then secondly in a pasta dish. Both were pleasant. We had a bottle of local white wine and two grappas and the bill was 100 euros. It was not particularly unreasonable but it was not a large meal either. I hesitate to recommend anywhere with such obscure pricing as most people like an idea of what they are getting into before they sit down. Nevertheless the waiter was friendly and we did enjoy the night. There was a torrent of water running outside so they ordered a tiny scooter taxi to get us out of there which was great, however the taxi took 10 euros for a 400m ride! At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask! This place needs to be more honest with its menu and pricing....

Extremely expensive, especially considering the fact that there is no menu (and so no displayed prices). We payed 50 euros for two starters (!) and two wines. If We were persuaded to take the whole menu (there is only one menu available) we probably payed 200 euros for an ordinary lunch. We found out that the housewine costs probably 15 euros for one glass. We actually don't know this for sure, you only recieve a handwritten paper with a price on it for the whole package. The boss is really friendly until you actually order and is arrogant afterwards. The money is in the pocket, so there's no reason to be friendly, right? Don't waste your money on this rip-off.

The place seemed nice and we were looking forward to go there. We were seated at the far end but after that we weren't given as much as a nod from the waitress for at least 10 minutes. No menus, no water, no setting of or table. And the place was not overcrowded at all. The blame goes to the waitress who seemed extremely inefficient. Unfortunately we can't review the food since our experience had us leave 10-15 minutes after we were seated. We are not people who have ever left a restaurant before and we are sad we didn't get to try this place.
