Hotel Canasta has a unique ambience, very cool and laid back. The staff are helpful and make your holiday absolutely perfect. The rooms are beautiful, the pool relaxing and the breakfasts perfect. And Bruno is just what every hotel needs, giving you the benefit of his local knowledge to ensure an unforgettable stay.

I should have written this when we returned from Italy last summer but never got to it. I traveled to Italy last summer with my husband and our 2 teenage boys and used tripadvisor 100% to choose our hotels and it didn't fail me once. Hotel Canasta was perfect in every way. Pietro would recommend wonderful restaurants, hikes and the best time to swim in the Blue Grotto! Our room was lovely and the pool relaxing. Hope to return to Capri some day and without doubt, this is where we will stay!

Our 10-day stay at the Hotel Canasata was an absolute delight. The warm friendly manner of the owner, Pietro D'Emilio and his family, provided a happy glow to our stay. Our leisurely, delicious breakfasts under the shade of lemon trees in the patio area was a wonderful way to start each day. Along with the congenial coffee service of Bruno, there was a delicious buffet of fruits, cheeses, cereals, sausage and eggs, yogurts and a marvellous Capri chocolate cake. Our room was spacious and clean, with excellent air conditioning, and a most comfortable bed. The swimming pool with numerous lounge chairs provided a cool, peaceful respite after exploring Capri and the nearby Amalfi Coast. The Hotel's convenient, yet quiet, location made Capri's restaurants and attractions very accessible. Our stay was so memorable that we hope to return in the near future.

We just returned from Capri and stayed a week at La Canasta where we really made ourselves at home. The hotel is run by a great Italian family headed by Pietro who is very keyed into the island. His Dad actually built the hotel 50 years ago -- but it's been updated all along. Our room was very comfortable with a/c, wifi, flat screen TV, mini bar and a great private terrace. The rest of the hotel staff was incredible. Bruno served us a sumptuous breakfast until noon every morning and lovely women helped to press our sheets and tidy our rooms. The location is fantastic -- very near the Quisisana and walking distance from the Piazetta and some of the great beaches like La Fontelina and Marina Piccola. The hotel has an elegant pool with beautiful, weathered wood furniture. The pool looks new with beautiful glass tiles. It overlooks a view of the sea in the distance. The gardens are also really special with lemon trees and mature pines. The hotel has been immaculately kept and is really the best value for the quality in Capri. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we already planning another trip to see Pietro and his family. This is a really great little gem for savvy travelers. Enjoy!

Once again we stayed at the lovely Canasta Hotel on Capri and once again it lived up to all expectations.
Beautiful room, great air con, fab buffet breakfast until 12 noon (great if you've stayed up late as we always do)
The pool is superb, great for dipping into on a hot humid day and enough space around to top up that tan.
Thank you again Pietro and thank you Bruno for the best and the worst cappuccino in the world (this is a joke the coffee is fantastic!!!)
See you next year
