I am so thankful to have met both Mario Nocera & Domenico D'Agostino at the Hotel Relais MAresca.

These gentlemen and their staff really went above and beyond to make my stay there a 5 star experience

I highly reccommend this hotel, especially room 41 with its incerdibly large and beautiful balcony suite overlooking the beautiful island of Capri

Thank you

We booked a triple room but the space was very tight for three people. Facing the harbor, we had a nice view but when the boat docked, it was very noisy. The WIFI did not work and we had to rely on the computer in the lobby. I was a bit disappointed they ran out of bread within half an hour of breakfast service. When we informed the staff about the WIFI and bread, they did not seem to care. The location was both good and bad. Being close to the pier, it was very convenient to catch the boat but at night all the shops and restaurants closed. Overall, our stay was OK but I expected more for the price we paid.

We decided to stay in the Marina Grande since it was convenient to all the boat trips we were taking around the island, and to Positano, etc... When we arrived in the Marina Grande, it looked like a tourist trap, so I had concerns the hotel would be the same. Not true!!! We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were charming and they gave us a free room upgrade with a view of the marina. The breakfast was good with delicious, fresh warm pastries. The staff gave us excellent service, with great recommendentations for dinner (Il Geranio and L'Approdo especially), and arranging a private boat tour. On the first day we visited, it was rainy and they gave us complimentary use of umbrellas. The next day it was sunny and they gave us complimentary use of beach bags with towels. This is the type of service you would expect from ANY hotel, but rarely get in this price range. On the weekend we visited, there was a festival and the hotel hosted a buffet and a rooftop view of the fireworks at midnight. It was a magical night. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in the Marina Grande.

My wife and I spent two nights at this Hotel in July 2012. When we arrived in Marina Grande, the hotel was just a short walk up one flight of stairs. The hotel overlooks the Marina Grande and is right in the heart of the marina district. When we checked in, the staff was helpful in getting our bags up to our room and we were checked in and settled within 10 minutes. It was a long day of travel, so we simply walked up to the rooftop deck and enjoyed a bottle of wine watching the sunset. The rooftop deck is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful views of the sea and it is also where they serve breakfast.

The room itself was a little small, but it was clean and did offer free wifi. The bathroom was of typical size for European hotels. The air condition worked nicely and the room was nice and cool, which was a must in the 90 degree heat. The hotel was very clean and there was a nice sitting area near the lobby.

When you exited the hotel, down the stairs to the right was the Marina Grande Restaurant and shopping district and to the left was the beach. The hydrofoil ticket station is right across the street from the hotel. The funicular station is a minute walk up the street which takes you into the town. My wife and I spent a good deal of time in just the Marina District enjoyed the restaurants and shops along the way. Take a private boat tour around the island, it is a must. See if you can find Lorenzo. He did a great job and was very helpful and friendly.

The only downside to this hotel, was that the staff was not super friendly or helpful. They weren't rude by any means, but not as friendly as the other people we met in Capri. I would stay here again if I ever get the chance to go back to Capri.

Breakfast was on the rooftop deck, and they offered a very nice selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, juices, coffees, and water. It was one of the nicest free breakfasts we had in our entire trip.

Room Tip: If you stay here, you do not have to drag your luggage up the funicular or take an expensive taxi.

We booked room 41 because we liked the idea of having a nice outdoor balcony. We wern't disappointed and would stay here again. The room itself is small but the bathroom was nice and the balcony is large, private, offers a great views and allows you to be above it all overseeing Marina Grande.
