“Ruins not so much but the views are amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

The ruins are not very interesting but the walk there is nice and the views are splendid. Just before you get there, you will see an entrance on the right and a nice little guy who is asking you to enter - many people are passing by as they think that they have to pay - this is free, go there as the views are great and different from what you see from the Villa. If you are lucky, you will meet a cute goatling on the way!

“Great walk/views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Enjoyed the walk from Capri to these ruins. Interesting sites along the way...lots of beautiful garden entrances to private homes, stunning views from the top. Uphill walk but along an easy pathway. Great way to get some exercise in between those gelatos and mozzerella cheese goodies...lol.
I'm glad I did this rather than the crowded bus ride to Anacapri which was recommended. Lots of crowds in August but not so much at this end of the island.
Found a little bistro on the way back along the path...Bar Jovis...great food/service.

“Worth the walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

Sort of a small version of Pompeii! Well preserved ruins in a great location on the headland. Good value too. The nearby park is also worth a visit - you only need to give the volunteer guardian a tip. Lovely walk via little lanes to get there - and there is a more challenging descent via a rough path which leads to Villa Lysis (also worth a visit).

“Roman history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

It is a hard climb to get there, but make the effort. U will encounter goats on the way, rural and quaint.
Once u get there the best views of Vesuvius, and Naples will enchant u. And read up on the history of the villa before going, so much to learn about the roman emperor who moved to Capri, and stayed for a while. It's good to be the emperor!

“Fantastic Views”

It is worth the walk/climb to behold the views. It is interesting to see the ruins but it is really all about the view.
