With so many companies offering boat tours of Capri, it can be overwhelming researching and choosing one. You can stop here, Capri Whales is the right choice.

We opted for the 7.5 m gozzo for a two-hour tour for just myself and my wife. It was a very reasonable price for a private tour. The stand is very easy to find, it's a little beach/souvenir shop to the left of the funicular station with a yellow awning. We had originally scheduled our tour well in advance for a Sunday, but the week before I looked ahead and saw that rain was in the forecast. Rescheduling for Saturday through email was not a problem as they Stefano and Wendy were very flexible.

When we arrived, it took just a few minutes for them to set us up with our guide Alessio, who was a perfect guide for my wife and I. He was laid back and agreed with us that it's better to avoid the touristy spots like the Blue Grotto as that would eat up precious time. Instead we asked him to take us to his favorite grottoes, and since our boat was so small he was able to pull us right in to some beautiful, colorful grottoes that no other boats were stopping at. He gave us a lot of information about the island as well as we cruised around at a leisurely pace, soaking up the sun and taking stunning photos. His English was also excellent. He even expertly fished out my hat which flew off into the water after a sudden gust of wind. Grazie mille Alessio! The boat itself was cushioned and comfortable for us to laze around in as we puttered around. Alessio gave us the option to jump in for a swim at a secluded spot, but it was a bit too cold still so we opted to stay dry.

All in all this was the perfect day and one of the highlights of our three week vacation across Italy. I highly recommend you book with Capri Whales if you're looking for a local, intimate, and flexible tour company. We will be when we return one day!

We extensively researched Capri boat tours but they were typically extremely pricey or the boats were too large and had bad reviews. We chose Wendy's company due to the great reviews and very reasonable price. Since we were a group of 10, it was a private tour for our group.

Coming from Salerno, there were a limited number of ferries and the last ferry for the day left at 5PM. Initially the boat tour was scheduled from 2-6PM but once they heard that our ferry was at 5, they were kind enough to accomodate our schedule, moving it from 1PM to 5PM, and even making sure that we were there with enough time to not have to rush to the ferry.

Alessandro was a true local and gave us an in depth tour of the island, giving us local knowledge and showing us spots off the beaten path. When you get on, you're able to choose whether you want to go to the Blue Grotto or not. He did warn us that wait times were long and it was an additional entrance fee so we opted not to go and thought that it was the best decision we made. We were able to see so many additional beautiful sights with that half hour we saved and he showed us other grottos instead.

It was a beautiful afternoon in the sun and the highlight of my trip to Italy. I would highly recommend a boat tour in Capri and especially with this boat company.

This tour was one of the best parts of our trip - we thoroughly enjoyed our time with our tour guide as he showed us the amazing parts of Capri. We booked the half day tour, and the money was well worth it. Our host showed us the various parts of the island, and was extremely well versed and professional. He made sure we had a great time and that everything was to our satisfaction - would definitely book again!

Booked the half day private Capri boat trip on the 7,5 meter boat. Boat was very simple with just cushions. They had towels, but nothing else. Other boats came by to bring us cups when we asked, and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was nice. You can bring whatever you want on the boat, wine/snacks/other drinks. There is a small cooler. We opted for the Blue Grotto for 14 euro each. We bypassed the public tours waiting for the grotto by being on this boat. The people were nice and the store was easy to find. Overall good day

My friend and I were excited to visit Capri and wanted to do a boat tour around the island! We looked at a lot of companies and most were either too expensive or they were cheap and you would be one of 30 passengers on the boat. We wanted a more personalized experience. For €40 per person we were told we would be in a group of max 12 people. On the day of we were pleasantly surprised that it was just us and a group of 3, 5 total! There was plenty of room and the boat definitely could’ve fit more than 12! We coasted the island for 2 hours, stopping to swim in a cave which was very cool! The skipper was very personable and pointed out some fun and historical facts about the island as we drove by. We couldn’t ask for a better trip, and for just 40 Euro we will definitely be going back!
