I chose this restaurant for the setting which is really lovely among the lemon groves, really lovely setting, sadly that is where the loveliness ended. The staff were not overly welcoming, service very slow.
We were a party of 4 , the bill was well over the top for average food at a cost of 250€ that included two bottles of wine. HALF a bottle of average white wine was 18€ . Steaks were nearly 40€ each which 3 of us had & the other had 5 tiny prawns which were 36€ , first of all the prawns were lukewarm, more worryingly they were not cooked properly, the vein was red, flesh was watery uncooked & the accompanying fries arrived half an hour later after 2 prompts. The steaks were ok, asked for well done which came out medium rare which was how we wanted them, therefore, asking for medium rare likely to be blue. Bruschetta & desserts were good. The other thing was being mid April we were expecting it to be cool. About 6 tables were taken in a very large restaurant, most of whom asked to be moved inside, so we ended with just us & one other 'outside' they provide blankets which we were not offered but we found them too late beside the desserts buffet.
We had 5 meals in Capri & this restaurant was severely overpriced & lacking good service, mediocre food but is in a beautiful setting, pathway leading to restaurant is also beautiful. Very disappointed after reading the good reviews as it was a special occasion, just pleased we didn't go there on our last night!!

This is a very good place to dine. The location of this restaurant is definitely out of the way and you will most likely need a cab to and from Da Paolino, but overall it is worth it.

We decided to dine here after our Wedding because we had a very small Wedding party and the main reason we chose Da Paolino is because everyone we knew who had been to Capri highly recommended this restaurant. How could we pass?

We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation but we had to wait about an hour to an hour and a half to be seated (we were one of the first tables seated). The wait was not a big deal because the restaurant is gorgeous! We took some pictures and waited patiently until they were ready for us.

The service was good but definitely not the best that we have ever had. As the evening progressed, our server was very busy and he wasn’t very attentive to our needs (I had to wave him down numerous times). It wasn't a "deal breaker" because it was our Wedding night and we were very excited.

The food is extremely expensive and they serve typical Italian fare. To be perfectly honest, the food was average (meaning nothing special. It's good but not mind blowing) but the ambience of this place is what "makes it". Where else can you dine under the Lemon Trees in Capri?

Expensive is the operative word here and if you can swing it, definitely make it a point to enjoy at least one dinner at Da Paolino while you are visiting Capri. The food and the service won’t blow you away, but the scenery & ambience will.

My title is misleading because I will definitely get back to this restaurant again in my lifetime, but eating this fantastic food under a grove of lemon trees is a magical experience.

The food is magnificent, especially the seafood and pasta, and the service is tremendous. Its true it's expensive, but you get what you pay for and it's worth every penny.

My one gripe is that you have to order wine by the bottle. Coupled with the complimentary limoncello, my wife and I could barely stand up after dinner! But no worries, Capri is very safe and even with the walk back to the hotel, there was something in the air.

The atmosphere is unique!!! Tables are placed under the lemontrees... You can have your meal enjoying and smelling lemon parfums...
The food and the wine are good. You can choose the fish or seafood you want to taste (all of them very fresh) and they prepare it for you.
It is a singular experience.

We sat in a lemon orchard , under the lemons, at tables with white table clothes and candles . Probable the most romantic place we've ever been . The food was delicious and the service perfect.
