“Great views and lots of space”

We liked everything about this wonderful apartment and Marina Grande in Sorrento.
Marina Grande is a wonderful location if you like great views, the sights and sounds of everyday local life and fabulous restaurants.
Casa Consy is a lovely, spacious apartment which overlooks the marina and also the Bay of Naples over to Vesuvius. It has three small balconies and another larger one. It has views from every room. The main room is huge with high ceilings and tall windows. There are two shower rooms. Both bedrooms have lots of space and their own balconies. There were breakfast items as well as various basic cooking items like oil and salt. There were plenty of toiletries and cleaning items. There was a washing machine and washing liquid. The Wi Fi worked well and there was easy to use air con / heating.
Salvatore was quick to answer our questions before our stay and he met us on arrival and explained what we needed to know about the flat. There were lots of brochures and timetables provided.
We enjoyed sitting in the morning sunshine, watching the marina wake up. After this the balconies were in shade.
Marina Grande is a ten to fifteen minute walk up hill into Sorrento town. From here there are easy (but often very busy) transport links to places like Pompeii, Amalfi, Capri and Naples.
If you want complete peace and quiet this would not suit....the marina begins to wake up quite early and the restaurants (two of which are immediately below this second floor apartment) were still closing down at around midnight. For us, this all added to the experience! It was great to have so many eating options within a two minute walk...I think there were 9 restaurants within sight! We ate at three of them. All had great seafood.
Sorrento is an expensive places to stay compared to some other places in Italy. I had looked at lots of other options before I booked this one and this one was great value.

“Brilliant location let down by the maintenance and services”

Can spend hours on the balcony watching the life around and out in the Gulf. Location is amazing with a wonderful view, particularly from one of the bedrooms. Restaurants close by are excellent. Salvatore arranged for parking which meant we could travel around Sorrento and Amalfi easily.

However lots of minor problems, a disappointment but can be accepted with the location. Hopefully the owner will soon correct these.

“Best apartment in the best location - just wonderful!”

A real sanctury in the heart of the old harbour in busy Sorrento. We went in summer half term and the flat was spacious, quirky and characterful. On the doorstep were some of the best restaurants in town. Our favourite thing having a child with us was once he was in bed to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine surveying the bay of naples all lit up and watching the world go by! Lots of light, great views, the balconies were great outside space. Watching the local stray cats getting fed by the 'cat man' of an evening pleased my son enormously as he had befriended every single one of them! The location is the best thing here as its quieter than up top in Sorrento - feels like a world of its own and the people are so friendly. Beach surprisingly good too!

“Amalfi gem!”
Reviewed July 24, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Sorrento main port.

Sounds like an awful industrial area.

In reality it is a wonderfull and beautiful location. With small fishingboats still leaving for sea at night and returning early in the morning. There are localy run restaurants serving “Catch of the day” and commercial ones who try to create loungy kind of restaurants.
The small and friendly beach is made up of black vulcanic sand and you look out onto the moared fishing boats and the smoking Vesuvios. To rent a parasol €3 and a sunbed €4.
The only authentic supermarket is a tiny locally run shop with beautiful Italian products.
The atmosphere in the village is friendly and in amongst the locals and tourists it is very entertaining to watch local families earn their living, argue, laugh and use every available familymember to make the most of the summerseason.

Casa Cosy.
On the first floor there is this spacions appartment overlooking the village location. You are right in the middle of it all. Sounds and beautiful smells rise up and make you part of Sorrento main port.
It is bright and has 4 hudge French windows all comming out onto balconies (one along the mainroom, one to the middle bedroom and two for the masterbedroom). The wind, sounds and smells innondate it to the max with Sorrento-nes! All the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and all have a seaview! The kitchen is well equipt and practical. The 2 bathrooms are equily clean and well equipt.

Salvatore and Guiseppe.
All information was promptly provided. Both brothers are very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well and email/sms contact was good. Upon arrival Guiseppe met us and showed us around. He provided us with tips and ideas. The fridge was already stocked with farious bottles of water and the house was stocked with every basic need and more.

Our stay.
The appartment allows you to enjoy the beach and its people at a 2 min walk. Lovely cappuchino/espresso at a moments notice away. Then to return to the seabreesed shady indoors during the midday for a small napp. Only to emerge again at three to go on till late at night. Our daughters (18 and 17) loved it here aswell. This part of Sorrento is idillic and nice, but up the mountain side a 10 min climb you can find all the shopping and crowd bussyness you might like.

What could be emproved?
Very little! If we could advice:
make the airconditioning operational. Did not need it due to the sea breeze, but one night there wasn’t any and it was realy rather hot,
place long flowy thin curtains and make open windows an option instead of having to shut them when privacy was needed,
instead of the bath in the master bathroom place a shower there as good as the one in the other bathroom.

Would we return? Most deffinately YES! It is a wonderfull gem and we were privaledged to have been staying there!

“Sorrento's Pearl”
Reviewed July 7, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Myself, husband and two teenage children stayed in Sorrento, at Casa Consy for four nights a few days ago.
From the minute we walked in the whole family was absolutely amazed. The apartment was spacious, it had a number of beautiful balconies and the most amazing views over the water, with Mt Vesuvius in the background. Every window showed a different panorama of the unforgettable landscape.
The photos do not do this property or location justice. You have to see it in person to believe it.
There is at least 6 restaurants, including a number of bars straight outside your door. They are in no way noisy and in fact contribute to the atmosphere.
There is a little grocery store within 100 meters from the apartment. It is run by a lovely family who are all extremely kind and very helpful.
Town is easily accessible from this location, it is about 10 minutes walk or there is the option of taking a bus.
The quaint fishing boats and the kind locals made it the perfect holiday. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.
We would also like to thank Salvatore and Giuseppe for making our check in so easy and for always being contactable.
Thank you so much we loved it!

“Amazing stay in lovely property”

Two couples (ages 28-36). The property, in our opinion, is in the perfect location for Sorrento. Located in Marina Grande which feels a lot more relaxed than main town Sorrento. The apartment has four balconies which all have great views over the marina and to Vesuvius - great for breakfast and evening drinks! It's an easy and very pleasant walk into the main part of Sorrento (15mins approx - gradient/steps). Marina Grande has lots of little seafront restaurants too which are great and so handy - beautiful to be sat right next to the sea!

The apartment itself is really light and airy. The pictures do not do it justice. It has real character and we were so pleased we booked here. Both of the bedrooms are lovely, each with a balcony (one is double aspect and has two balconies!). The living area has loads of space for 4 adults and the whole apartment has high ceilings.

Boat trips also depart direct from Marina Grande so you don't need to get to the main harbour or pay for a pick-up.

The owners brother met us at the apartment and communication was great throughout. (WhatsApp was v useful when we got stuck in traffic on the way and were later than we expected).

We would highly recommend!

“Great Location”
Reviewed October 14, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Large two bedroom first floor apartment with four balconies overlooking Marina Grande.
The apartment is a bit quirky, but very clean with all of the necessary amenities.
A great position, a short ten minute walk into the centre, or better still get one of the local buses that take you from your doorstep up to the centre.
All of the local restaurants feature high on Trip Advisor, but our favourite was Azzurra and their wonderful crab ravioli.
But best of all of opening the french doors from the main bedroom and sitting looking out over Marina Grande in the evening with a glass of wine and taking in the vista.
