This is a very pretty place to visit and there are seats to sit and enjoy the views. I always visit here when in Sorrento.

This is where all of the tourist tend to end up. Lots of restaurants and shopping. I spent the first day in Sorrento visiting this area, it's a good starting point to get the lay of the land. Do venture out to the other areas of town. You will find better restaurants and fewer people.

Why everyone comes here I’m not sure. It’s expensive and over-rated. Marina Grande is quieter and much more pleasant. Get out of Piazza Tasso and explore!

While in Sorrento for four days we used Piazza Tasso to orient us to all that goes on in the City. It is the main square, surrounded by restaurants, a church, shops and a beautiful view of the harbor below. If fact, we ate dinner two evenings in the Fauno Bar restaurant on the square. From that location we had a great time watching all of the comings and going in central Sorrento.

If you visit Sorrento you can't miss Piazzo Tasso I suggest you also use it both as a central orientation point as well as visit one of the restaurants/shops along its perimeter.

Lovely piazza. Much busier than we thought it would be for October. Lots of cafes etc. Watch out for the drivers....we were given a tip...don't look at the vehicle/bike..they will know you are there. Just walk...don't stop or turn round either!

this is the pace to go if you want to buy souvenirs and eat well there is everything you need in Piazza Tasso in Sorrento. Its just a short walk down the street from the train station. There are street food vendors , restaurants, little cobbled streets with lots of shops where you can buy Lemoncello (get some free shots lol) have a crepe, buy clothes, ornaments and there are some shops like Gucci if you are feeling rich. Its great!!!

Beautiful small hotel in the heart if Sorrento. The staff is extremely helpful and cheerful, especially the young woman who takes care of the breakfast.
The breakfasts were terrific and har cheerfulness started the day off perfectly.
We would stay again

It's a busy piazza, importantly not at all traffic free, with restaurants and cafes on almost every side. Plenty of choice, and of course on a nice day and certainly on a mild evening, there's quite a buzz about it. But for our money, maybe yours too, maybe not, the wandering down the little side streets and the largely pedestrianised zone is more authentic Italy. Shops and eating / drinking places a-plenty, which all add to an interesting stroll and ability to stop where something takes your fancy.
