“ranks the pencil museum and the thermos flask museum”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Some of might think that a load of wood inside other wood is boring. Others might think that a museum where you could be forgiven for thinking that the owners paperwork and filing was part of the exhibits might be a tad dull. But for me the best bit was the smell that took me back to grandads shed - a heady mix of manure, stale varnish and dry rot. Ranks with the pencil museum in Kendall and the thermos flask museum. Unforgettable, if you know what I mean.

“Great if you like wood, really boring if you don't.”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

I can appreciate the workmanship is incredible and the history contained within the building is of great value, however, if you have no interest in wood, or inlays, i wouldnt bother. Its just really boring. Really, really boring.

“Interesting Local muesum”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

This muesum tells the story of Inlaid wood working in Sorrento. There are some lovely pieces of craftmanship and it is well set out. (The children were less interested, but the adults in our party found it very interesting and were glad we went.)

Amazing craftmenship on display from the display pieces done for exhibitions - but expensive giftshop because of the high quality.

“Interesting”

Some good examples of tarsialignea. The museum was open more hours than we were led to believe. Call to check on the days and hours.
