We enjoyed the stay completely. Large, bright rooms. Free (and easy to use) wifi. Fantastic location, in walking distance of City Centre, Beaches, Restaurants.

Staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful. Special mention to Maria, who went out of her way to organise some medical help for us. She also organised to have some of our luggage (shopping!) mailed home for us, to avoid extra baggage.

Most staff had good grip of English, so communication was easy - and nothing was too much trouble for any of them.

Our package included breakfast each day, and it was beautiful, fresh, hot and plentiful.

We could not recommend the Plaza any higher. Made our stay in Sorrento enjoyable, and memorable,

Dear guest,

Thanks for taking the time to write about your experience at the Plaza hotel in Sorrento.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and have appreciated all our services: from the free wifi to the breakfast buffet.

As you mentioned, the latter is plentiful and fresh, served every day from 7 to 10.30 a.m.. Delicious pastries, a great variety of cakes, croissants, brioches, muffins, pancakes, spoon desserts and much more – an awesome kick start to your day - are all attentively prepared by our pastry chef Antonino Pollio.

We are happy that the Plaza hotel including its staff has contributed to making your stay enjoyable and memorable. Maria (front desk) is very grateful for the special mention and sends her greetings to the whole family.

Hoping to welcome you soon again in the future, we send our best regards.

We stayed at this property for 4 nights in May. It is very close to the main square of Sorrento and within walking distance of most of the city. We booked with one of the on-line discount sites and paid in advance. Our friends booked directly with the hotel and got a better room and a better rate than we did--lesson learned! Our room was sufficient, with all the comforts you would expect at an Italian hotel. Very modern and seemed to be well kept. The breakfast buffet had more to offer in the way of fresh fruits than the other 2 hotels we stayed during our trip. My husband was ill while we were there and didn't get much help from the front desk in the way of doctors who may be available to see him. No concierge at this hotel but the front desk had been helpful in other ways during our stay. When compared with others in this price point it is a good value for the money.

We stayed for a week in June to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found the hotel staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 512 and awoke each morning to views across the bay to Vesuvius.
Our room was comfortable. The air conditioning was quietly effective and the bathroom was well laid out with a good quality of finish. The shower worked well. The wardrobe was large enough, and the small safe was ideal for my DSLR camera and tablet. The power socket inside the safe was useful.
The location was ideal for us, being a very short walk from Piazzo Tasso and from there we easily found our way to the Marina Piccola for the ferry to Capri, the old town for shopping and dining, and the railway station for the trains to Pompei and Naples.
The wifi was free. All I needed was a print out of a user ID and password from reception and I was able to use my tablet without difficulty.
We enjoyed the roof top bar as a great place to relax with a glass of wine or beer after a hard morning of enjoying the sights, and I loved the plunge pool as a way to cool down while looking out over the roof tops to Vesuvius.
The bar staff were very helpful when my wife felt a bit under the weather one evening and took the trouble to mix her "hot toddy" recipe. We had fun trying to explain what we meant by cloves, but a quick sketch on the napkin and the bar man dived into the kitchen and came back with some to add to the whisky, water and sugar that he then heated up using the coffee maker's steam nozzle.
Others have mentioned the breakfasts. I can confirm that they were great. The service was very efficient and friendly, our tea and coffee orders were remembered after the second morning and I see it as a sign of good customer care that seemingly minor details such as this are remembered.
We would definitely stay here when we "Torna a Surriento".

Room Tip: On floor 5: rooms 502 - 505 have balconies facing the street, rooms 509 & 510 have rear facing balconies, rooms 511, 512 & 514 have views over the roof tops to Vesuvius.

We stayed at the Plaza for 3 nights and I don't think there's anything I would've changed. Our room was modern, spacious and well-equipped with a TV, mini-fridge, large wardrobe and nice toiletries. The pool/lounge area on the top floor is a gorgeous spot with great views over the Bay of Naples and Sorrento. They also serve food by the pool which was surprisingly good and not expensive at all. The location of this hotel is perfect - in the heart of the city but still quiet and peaceful. Also, the breakfast that was included was fantastic - fresh pastries, bread, fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, etc. and even a juicer with fresh ingredients to blend into yummy drinks! Overall our stay was just perfect and we would definitely return!
