Crawford Home is wonderful, as are Francesca and her family. Extremely helpful and attentive, yet providing all the privacy you need. Location is outside of the main Sorrento town, but city bus access is easy. We would return to this home 100% for sure on our next trip. They helped book a great Capri boat day trip...go with the more expensive one,,,,get to back side of the island. Great communication by the hosts before arrival. Accommodations within the Home are perfect....working A/C, nice beds, clean bathrooms and awesome back patio/terrace. The hosts welcome you with snacks, and eggs in the fridge! nice touch!! Family friendly, a master bedroom with large bed, another separate bedroom with twin bed and then large living room with large sofa bed. No complaints at all. STAY HERE!!!! Best accommodations of our 2.5 weeks in Italy.
We arrived later than expected because of airport delays but our hosts were very accommodating and patient. There two bedroom apartment is large, airy and beautifully decorated and equipped. It is in the middle of the popular vacation spot of Sorrento but offered quiet privacy in the midst of the city. Francesca and her family answered all of our questions and helped us out when we stumbled. We got a parking ticket and they delivered our money to pay the fine at the proper department. What a life and time saver.
Our mistake was in renting a car to visit the Amalfi Coast. We could have done it all by public transportation with much less cost and hassle. There are train, bus and boat lines going to every place you might want to go. Leave the driving to the Italians!!
When my husband, grown daughter and myself arrived in Sorrento we were pleasantly surprised to find a rental that felt more like a home. The owners stocked some food in the fridge and cupboard which was a very nice touch and much appreciated since it was above what was expected.
The weather had been unbearably hot in Florence where we left - record highs for June. It felt very cool and comfortable inside the apartment even with the air conditioning not currently running. The air conditioning does work well if you like it cooler.
The owners Francesca, her husband and daughter work as a team to make sure your stay is beyond comfortable. They are happy to meet you at the train station so you don't have to find the home on your own.
They booked an excursion for us to Capri and a reserved a driver for the trip back to Naples since we preferred not taking the train (way too much luggage!) When our excursion was canceled due to bad weather (pretty windy that morning) their daughter drove us to the port to catch the hydrofoil to Capri and then refused pay. It cost us 23 euro to take a cab back, so we were very thankful for the free ride there.
They take a lot of pride in their property. The apartment is very clean and well maintained. The appliances work well and are of good quality. They asked us daily if there was anything else we needed and if our stay was going well.
They are nearby to help out in any way they can- which we really appreciated!
This was a perfect apartment for our needs, very clean and comfortable. The owners were really helpful, organised transfers, showed us locations of shops, restaurants, train station etc.,advised on trips, and even provided food and wine in the fridge for our first meal. it was an ideal location to explore the area. We'd really recommend it and would visit again
Crawford Home is perfectly situated for a quiet stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. The apartment was fantastic; the high, domed ceilings gave a feeling of space and the outdoor area was incredible, despite being overlooked by a hotel (during our stay we had no issues with privacy).
We were, thankfully, met by both Francesca and Giovanni at the train station after a grueling hour waiting to connect from Naples.
Sorrento is a twenty to thirty minute walk away (the pavements/ sidewalks are like nothing we have ever experienced!). We only spent a couple of hours there having brunch at Fauno and then again on our last day to buy a gift. We were thankful to leave the madness behind and head back to the peace of Sant Agnello.
Francesca and Giovanni were the perfect hosts, on hand whenever we had a question or to arrange an excursion.
We will stay again!
We spent a week in Franchesc'so lovely apartment and it was a fabulous stay. Giovanni (her husband) met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment. They live upstairs so were close by when needed (only once!). It's a short walk to the bus stop to Sorrento. Walk up the street and turn left towards the church. The hardware store sells bus tickets, and there is a small market past that (larger market near the train station). Beyond the small market, there is a deli that sells prepared food. Gnocchi, lasagna, eggplant parm---Yum! Giovanni arranged a bus tour of the Almafi Coast (don't drive it) and a driver to take us to the airport in Naples. Oops, forgot about the frig being stocked for our first breakfast! The apartment is roomy, pristine, and has all the bells and whistles. Bravo Francesca and Giovanni!
Francesca and Giovanni were fantastic hosts. Really friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless and really well presented. It is located in Sant Agnello which is the next town to Sorrento, so you have a bit more local feel, but it is easily walkable to Sorrento. So it is easier to park on the streets, has its own station to go to Pompei or Naples, and plenty of buses if you don't have a car.
Parking costs were €15 for a week, and in April traffic was quiet.
The apartment has a nice double bed and a single bed, so for the three of us was ideal. I daresay the sofa could also be used as a bed.
Kitchen has a gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, so all that is needed.
Great extra touches like printing boarding passes out for us, and a welcome fridge with wine, cheese, meat, pasta, tea, milk, etc. Also as we found it a little difficult to find the apartment initially Giovanni was brilliant waiting for us to arrive late and welcome us in.
