Emanuela and Carlo made our stay at Villa Carolina the best part of our trip. My mom and aunt stayed at Villa Carolina for 3 nights and my husband and I joined for the last night before a larger family trip later in the week, and I can't say enough good things about our experience! My mom and aunt had been raving about the accommodations itself, the beautiful views, the incredible homemade food, and the sincere hospitality prior to our arrival, and they were 100% correct.

While not in the city center, the Villa is set up on a hill with the most amazing views of the coast and countryside. There is a walking path that you can walk down to town, but they also offer a complimentary shuttle service (along with other nearby B&B's) that runs on a schedule periodically throughout the day to and from the Sorrento train station. The walk down isn't bad, but the shuttle was a savior on the way back. This helps allow you get both the country and town experience while staying here. The taxis in the area are fairly expensive, so the availability of the shuttle is a nice touch!

Next, the amazing food. The breakfast was set up everyday and included home backed pastries as well and fresh eggs prepared by Carlo to your liking. There was also fruit, coffee to order, and an amazing set up on the terrace. It was the best way to slowly wake up and start the day. We also joined for dinner twice while we were there. The first night was just my mom and aunt, but the second night all 4 of us joined for a 3 course dinner full of antipasti, wonderful fresh pasta, and an amazing desert that we're still dreaming about. Carlo was accommodating to my dietary restrictions and couldn't offer enough options, even though I would have been more than fine as is :) They have a large garden at the Villa, and many of the ingredients used come directly from it. They also spoke to us about their yearly olive harvest and homemade olive oil they frequently use and have available for purchase.

We stayed in the guest room that fit 4 people. It was great for the 1 night of all 4 of us, but it may be tight for 4 adults for a prolonged period of time (maybe opt for 2 guest rooms if that's the case) - though it would be perfect for a family with children or for a short stay! It had a little kitchenette and a nice little outside sitting area. Everything was felt clean, well cared for, and catered for the unique country feel of our stay.

Last, I can't say enough amazing things about Emauela and Carlo. They really made the experience everything that it was and more than we could have hoped for. Our stay felt like they had truly opened up their house to us and treated us like members of their own family. They could not do enough to make our stay the best it could be, insisting on going above and beyond in all aspects. From the beginning when they helped to hire a car transfer for my mom and aunt from Naples to the B&B, to offering up the best recommendations and suggestions, helping us to coordinate a car to get us to the next part of our trip, talking to us about their lives, culture, and small business experience, and just being the most warm, friendly and genuine hosts. Nothing was too big or small for them to not do everything they could for it to be the most enjoyable experience.

A hotel it is not, in all the best ways possible. If you're looking for an authentic cultural immersion in a stunning setting - Villa Carolina is your place.

Emanuela and Carlo are very hard-working and go out of there way for their guests.
From the fresh squeeze orange juice and lemon juice at breakfast, along with farm fresh eggs and omelettes made to order to the fresh baked goods. It was a great stay.
Emanuela even took care of the arrangements for out transfer from Naples to Sorrento and back. If you're looking for a a quiet place to relax away from the crowds, after a long day sight seeing then this is the place for you. Lemon trees, olive trees, great views and above all good old fashion Italian hospitality. Thanks for a wonderful stay in Sorrento !

Amazing time spent at Villa Carolina with Emanuela and Carlo (plus Pepe too), they made us feel most welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble and Emanuela even made a birthday cake for my hubby's birthday. The room was comfortable and spacious. The views from the terrace were amazing as was the hot tub to cool off in after a day out sightseeing. Breakfast was always great and fresh ingredients used and filled us up for the whole day until dinner. Both Emanuela and Carlo always on hand with local knowledge and info for us both. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here and the free courtesy bus from Sorrento back up the hill was always well received. All in all a fab place to stay and enjoy the surroundings. We liked being up the hill to escape the busy town of Sorrento but close enough to walk down if you wanted and courtesy bus always on hand too.
