We strolled down here on our last day in Sorrento, whilst it was easy on the way down, it was uphill on the return !
Very quaint fishing village with lots of small fish restaurants in the harbour area, like going back in time. It was also quiter than the hustle of Sorrento.

I was born here and left when a child. A saw this village developing through the years and despite environment and people changed it still maintain an unique atmosphere with its boats, genuine seafood restaurants (Da Emilia is my favorite), picturesque corners and spots. When anyone comes down from its steps towards the Marina feels inside the magic of such ancient fishermen village, at least for me, donating peace to the soul.

We visited Marina Grande on a couple of occasions whilst in Sorrento and it’s stunning. We even had a lovely meal at Ristorante Bagni Delfino which had wonderful views flavoursome food and fabulous service.

Stumbled down here on our first night in Sorrento. Went to a family owned restaurant about half way down the row. Had grilled fish and lical wine. Perfecto.

We walked down to Marina Grande by accident having walked along the main drag through Sorrento town, we wanted to see what else was about. We found this little, picturesque & active harbour. Being April only a few little boats were bobbing in the calm, clear sea, surrounded at ground level by busy restaurants & cafes, thowing out some wonderful cooking smells, all framed on the Cliffs by the impressive looking Hotels & local style appartments. We caught a gorgeous sunset on a higher terrace where many locals had gathered, as we started to walk back via the winding passges between the appartments. A much more direct route back. Be prepared, if walking, for some steep declines or inclines depending on which way you are going. Its well worth the effort.
