The biggest surprise here was the quality of the food in the small cafe near the beach Excellent value too.

A little bit out of the way but DEFINATELY worth the walk. A typical Italian Resort with a few good eating establishments - fish is a MUST as its landed there every day. Didn't find any way wheelchairs could get there but there must be a road (somewhere) as there were cars parked. It really is a beautiful place - you wont be disappointed

Marina Grande is not particularly easy to get to if you're staying in a hotel or accommodation on the clifftop, but it's well worth the effort to get there. It looks as though it should be easy to get to if you're in a hotel directly overlooking it, but it's not. Once you're there though, it's a must to hire a sunbed (at 6 euros a bed on the one we chose) on one of the piers over the sea. It's lovely to lie there and hear the sea and a little tip is to throw some bread in the sea and watch the tiny fishes, then the medium fishes and then the big fishes come and snatch it. There's plenty of places to eat and drink too and we had lunch one day in the end restaurant on another pier and it was a lovely meal with a little bonus of being given two lucky charms when we left. If you like cats, you'll see lots of harbour cats and kittens who appear to be fed by people living in the harbour, plus visitors and that's another fascination - though some visitors made comments about it being cruel to let the cats wander unneutured about with no proper home. Must admit though, most of them seemed to be happy and well-fed with snug places to catch a catnap. I'd definitely return there if we go back to Sorrento - it's just lovely

A little beautiful harbour, at the base of some steep cliffs. Many fishing boats, pastel coloured houses,a few little restaurants.A perfect place to spent an evening, drinking a limoncello and admiring the sunset.

We were fortunate in our hotel to over look the marina and it looked very pretty from up above in our room.... however it is not signposted for pedestrians and so it took us three days to figure out how to get down... even the italians in the local shop couldnt tell us properly as they didnt know. We had to cut through the camp site, get as far down as you can to the railings, go right and down lots and lots of stairs.

when down there there are some nice restaraunts but these mainly do fish. We didnt eat there but have been told by several people elenas is nice but the four sisters is a rip off.

Worth a quick look but not a lot to do down there... too busy to step into the sand/sea as this is only a small area and was over run with Italians.... may be better to visit when the italians return up north end of August.

To get back up you can either go back the way you came through the camp site or follow it round to the other set of steps.... lots of steps to get back up though not as steep... however, it takes you down some very quiet alleyways so we were a little nervous about what could happen and wouldnt go back that way again.
