Staying at Green House was a highlight of our 5 month backpacking trip! The room was comfortable, spacious and contained a kettle and refrigerator and a nice big bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the staff were so lovely. We arrived from Naples by train and it was pouring rain. The owners were kind enough to pick us up from the train station and drive us the short distance to the accommodation, even carrying my incredibly heavy luggage. It is a short distance to the train station, to the central part of town (a few minutes walk) and is close to plenty of restaurants and cafes. It is also in a good location to see Capri, Naples, Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. The owners also gave us a map and some recommendations for places to eat and how to get around. All in all, a fantastic place to stay. Would certainly recommend!

We thought the hotel was clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and we received a free bottle of wine and a panatone during our 5 day stay. Free wi-fi, BBC news and other channels. 5 mins to the centre of Sorrento and 10 mins to train/bus station. Sorrento is well connected. We travelled to Pompei by train, to Positano by bus and to Capri by boat. We stayed over Christmas. The weather was not bad, it rained one day, but otherwise was sunny/cloudy, relatively warm. Nice concerts, church services over Christmas period. Just beware, many shops, cafes not working on the 25th December.

Green House: hard to find. Ask at the American Ristorante or the haberdashery shop on the corner. They phoned the very friendly helpful owner/ managers Davide/ Marco. Room is clean, free wifi, at the American- typ Italiano bfast, beautiful garden retreat, close to the action. Walk to Napoli train/ SITA bus to Amalfi and Positano is easy..only negative was that it rained all day (31Oct). No boats running to Capri. Recommend the Green Hotel any day. I will be back.

We stayed for two nights and found it to be a great base to explore Sorento, Capri, Pompeii and the Almalfi Coast. Marco the owner was very helpful and kept our bags on the last day. Good location for the town and 10min walk to the station. Was intially a little difficult to find but that's our only complaint! Highly recommended!

We stayed at Green House for 3 nights. Davide was good with communications before arrival. He also arranged transportation from Naples airport to Green House accommodations at a reasonable rate. His brother Marco was more visible upon our arrival.

Things you may not like - if you're looking to build a relationship or bond with keepers of the B&B this probably isn't your place. Proprietors stop in most evenings, but no one lives on the property. Green House is made up of 5 rooms within the ground-floor wing of an apartment building.

The biggest problem Green House needs to address is how to greet guests upon their initial arrival. We had to walk over to the American Cafe and persuade the wait staff to call someone from Green House. Otherwise we had no way to get keys to our room. This can be cumbersome for anyone who doesn't have a cell phone that works in Italy. This is my biggest complaint throughout our stay.

Things you will like - Location is great!!! You're conveniently located for shopping, restaurants, train station, bus station. Accommodations are a bit sparce but comfortable. Outdoor patio is very comfortable, spacious, and relaxing. Marco and Davide (brothers) are friendly, conversant in English, and offer suggestions when asked. We found price of accommodations to be good when compared with other locations.

Green House is probably more suited for independent travellers who like to make their own arrangements. I don't recommend for first-time travellers to Europe or to those who require assistance when making plans.

We've just returned from a 5 day trip to the Naples region, 2 nights staying at the Green House in Sorrento. The hotel was selected to fit our budget and based on location. Despite the pleasantly low cost, the hotel was excellently located and the room very pleasant. However, Marco and Davide were what made the difference. We arrived rather late and quite flustered after a stressful drive from Pompei, and struggled to find the place. We called Marco to let him know we were on our way, and after aborted attempts to locate the hotel, Marco and Davide drove out to find us and guide us in. Not only that, the following day there was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the hotel room!

The location is very good. It's a 2 minute walk to the old city wall, and then through to the cebtre of Sorrento and all the restaurants and shops. Sorrento is not huge, and from the Green House we wera ble to walk around the entire town several times each day. Be aware though that if you want to dabble your toes in the sea, you need to descend (and then ascend) a long way. You'll need another beer when you get back up!

The room itself is very good, particularly for the money. It is larger than expected, clean and well presented. The jewel in its crown is the garden area with lemon trees surrounding. This is a very quiet and pleasant place to sit and reflect on the day.

Sorrento itself is a beautiful town. It was quite busy, but not unpleasant, just thriving when we visited in mid-October. This is a pleasant time to visit Italy; we had clear blue skies and mid-20s temperatures. The town is quite touristy, but still retains the essential character keeps drawing us back to Italy. It was noteworthy that there is very little alignment on prices in the town. If you find a souvenir you like, you ca find the same thing for hugely different prices. Sorrento is not a cheap place to eat out either, but not painfully expensive. We stayed for 3 nights in Pompei (which was excellent), and you will generally pay less to eat there.

All in all, a fantastic stay. A great hotel and thanks to Marco and Davide, we will definitely return.

Room Tip: Be aware, parking costs extra (13 Euro per 24 hours). From our experience, don't bother with a c...

Had a great stay in this B&B. Manager Marco was very helpful and nice guy. Location was excellent, breakfast very Italian (pastry with cup of coffee of your choice). Room was clean with a huge terrace. Also had a small fridge in our room (minibar, i believe). Not a single complaint!:)
