We stayed here for the last few nights of our honeymoon. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations of getting a room upgrade due to our honeymoon, but we still had a decent room, just no sea view. Although our fitted sheet was ripped and there were a few stains on the curtains, the hotel was an enjoyable stay. It was almost like a Wes Anderson hotel and had some Shining vibes but it was absolutely beautiful! It also had an old-school feel. I was astounded but the cornucopia of breakfast selections, including sorbet!
Giovanni, the bartender, made great recommendations of things to do around Sorrento and was a great conversationalist.
Unfortunately, our last night we planned a romantic rooftop dinner. The hotel informed us it was too windy so we would have to eat on the ground level. We hesitated as first, but decided to try the food and we are so glad we did! Superb service, Lorenzo is very knowledgeable about wine and the serving staff was accommodating. The food.delectable and beautiful! Our travel agent booked us here, but I would stay again.
Hot tubs in Europe are all lukewarm tubs, which I found to be disappointing, but that was universal.More
