We spent three nights at the Antiche Mura Hotel. It is in a prime location, just off of the main square in Sorrento. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. They made arrangements for us to be picked up by a car at the Naples train station and brought directly to the hotel. It made the transfer extremely convenient. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the historical ancient wall in Sorrento. It was nice to sit out on the balcony after a long day of touring. There was an extensive selection of breakfast items to choose from each morning, and we were always greeted with a friendly "Good morning". The room was clean and fresh and the bathroom was well appointed with toiletries and the best hair dryer of all of the hotels on our trip. The room was not large, but certainly a reasonable size for Italy. Before we arrived, we had several emails from the hotel answering questions we had and providing suggestions for things to do while in Sorrento. I would highly recommend this hotel while staying in Sorrento.

Once again, I trusted Trip Advisor and found a wonderful hotel. The Antiche Mura is perfectly located on Sorrento's main square, Piazza Tasso. The hotel staff was patient, helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is quite lovely with a great lobby and bar/seating area. The pool space is gorgeous, surrounded by olive and lemon trees, Breakfast was the best I experienced at a hotel in Italy. We had a standard room and I think lucked out to have french doors and double windows overlooking the ravine and plaza. This will definitely be my hotel of choice for future visits.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the plaza or pool.

Just returned from a week in Sorrento. Hotel exceeded our expectations. Very clean, friendly, helpful staff and wonderful breakfast. The pool area is lovely, never too busy and a welcome relief after battling the crowds and traffic of Sorrento. We only had a standard room which was small, with no balcony but it was clean, fresh bed linen every day and clean towels twice daily. Did the Amalfi drive on organised tour (local buses are extremely busy, you queue for ages to get on and are lucky if you get a seat). Visited Capri by jetfoil, took local boat trip around island and then funicular railway up to the town, highly recommended. Also, visited Pompeii by local train, very easy and a cheap way to visit this historic site. I would definitely return to this hotel. Ciao.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a larger room with some outside space.

This hotel is very clean. They have a wonderful breakfast, great views and friendly staff. The breakfast has delicious food and wonderful desserts. There is a bar in the lobby where you can have a drink before heading out. It is a great location near the center of town.

Room Tip: Great rooms by the pool.

We were travelling around Europe to celebrate our anniversary and we stayed here for 7 nights in September. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the old town and within walking distance to the bus and train staion. We had booked a junior suite which was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast and the staff were really helpful in setting out a table for us in the pretty garden. The swimming pool is set in an oasis of lemon trees and we could have had the pool to ourselves on some days, but we were far too busy travelling to some amazing places of interest! Don't miss Capri!
