“Good but no organic food & no free wifi”

Hotel is nice however we got a room 416 very poor and we could change of room for a better one without any difficulty, the servers are very kind, food is good but there is food with no gluten but there is no oragnic food. The location central is a must. No free wifi: not normal for such a hotel ;-(

Room Tip: if u get a poor room (very small, oldfashioned like nr416) do not hesitate to claim and u will get a...

We had a fantastic few days in Sorrento . The little side streets with very beautiful markets and friendly staff made this stop over a memorable one . The hotel is beautiful and as you know , in Europe , you only get what you pay for .. This is not of budget conscious but it is worth the money you pay for the experience . The location is stunning , the rooms beautiful and old world elegant without being old . The pool area has a fantastic feel to it also and we can not recommend the seafood highly enough .. Well done Europe .. You live up to your reputation .

Location was great, a couple of minutes walk and you are in the centre of Sorrento.
Views are great from Balcony, vernada.
Staff are very attentive in Bar areas.
Getting to the pool is an experince, in a lift going through the cliff to a bleak tunnel.
Relaxing sea deck to sun bath on.
We have a room over looking the city and it was too noisy to have the windows open at night.

Room Tip: City view rooms are noisy.

Only five minutes walk from main square and bus & rail stations. Boat trips from harbour below to Capri, Naples & Amalfi coast (in season).
Views of the bay with Vesuvius were fabulous from hotel terraces.
Bathing platform & pool were reached via a lift & a two minute walk through a tunnel. Not a problem & no other alternative due to hotel's position on top of cliffs overlooking the sea.
All public rooms recently redecorated with furniture of good standard.
All reception & restaurant staff friendly & helpful.
Our towels were changed daily.
Buffet breakfast was good. We stayed for a week on half-board basis. Evening meal was a starter salad buffet followed by three courses waiter served. A refreshing change! Food good & menus changed daily. Bar prices not too bad for a 4*+ hotel.
We had a sea view room on the third floor which had been refurbished . Worth the extra if you can afford it.

The hotel has a stunning location and the view from the balcony is simply beautiful. The reception rooms are also magnificent. We wanted a room with a view over bay of Naples but none available when we booked and really without that view the hotel was less appealing. The bedroom was reasonable and comfortable but the bathroom was definitely below average - old shower and a screen which was in the wrong place - water scooting everywhere. Very dated. No plug points. The room service was excellent as was the restaurant, and bar service. The quality of the evening meal improved as the week wore on! Breakfast was okay - nothing great and the food was on the cold side. ( Have stayed in European travel lodge type places with much better breakfast ). We went with Riviera Travel and the tours were fantastic as was the tour guide but I would not choose this hotel again as there seemed to me to be a 50/50 great/disappointing ratio especially as this was one of the most expensive hotels in the brochure so expected more.

Lovely settings for this hotel with fantastic panoramic views , and an easy walk to the main square for the shops and restaurants. Be prepared for the long cold walk through the bleak tunnel to the jetty for the sun loungers, rather scary the first time you use it, the pool is very cold, the sea less so.
Bar staff and restaurant staff welcoming, some reception staff could be rather unfriendly and not very welcoming at times. The rooms are adequate ,but the power points are very limited, we had to unplug the fridge to use the socket to charge phones, etc, bit of a nuisance,I would use this hotel again solely for the lovely terrace areas and beautiful views across the bay.

Room Tip: Front facing sea view rooms are worth the extra costs if you can afford them, the views are spectacu...

i recently stayed at the europa palace for a week. the hotel was really nice with an amazing view and a great jetty over the clear blue sea. the hotel does also include a pool but i would recommend a swim in the sea instead as it is warmer and you don't have to wear a swimming cap.

the best thing about my stay was the really great restaurant and bar staff. they were very friendly and great at their job, they made every breakfast and dinner time truly enjoyable and comfortable. they were also extremely accommodating for me being gluten free and served up some really delicious alternatives. would definitely go back.
