This was my second visit to Sorrento...I adore it. The hotel was wonderful..spacious room's & of course that wonderful view of Il Visuvio over the bay. The staff were lovely & the food amazing. The only slight niggle we had was the walk back up the hill in the heat after going out anywhere.

Room Tip: There's no doubt that you must ask for one overlooking the Bay Of Naples..

The views make this hotel. Furniture and decor is quaint and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was fine. Is a walk into town but not a problem. We asked for a quiet room but had a lot of early morning noise from the dining room directly above us! Had dinner once but wasn't good value for money so ate in Sorrento after that. Plenty of choice in the town.

We stayed here our last two nights on the Amalfi Coast and thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable room, and sat on the balcony sipping wine to drink in the amazing view. The front desk staff was welcoming and very helpful in answering our questions about getting to Capri and Pompeii. Breakfast on a sunny terrace was delicious…mimosas and cooked to order eggs and omelets were available in addition to cheeses, pastries, meats, and yogurt. An easy walk into Sorrento!

We stayed in Sorrento for a 5 day visit as our first anniversary trip, and honestly, there could not have been a better choice than to stay at Hotel Belair.

The travel from London was a bit long (nearly a 10 hour journey), but after arriving to our room (a superior room), we were in just amazement by the stunning view. With a direct view of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples, we were definitely excited to be here.

On mention of the fact that we were here on our first anniversary to Monica while checking in on the front desk, we were delivered a bottle of Processco and glasses which made the whole entry to the hotel very satisfying. Gianlucca who made it easy to find out what we can do and where to eat (his recommendations were well received) and arranged our excursion to Capri and taxi's.

The hotel rooms themselves are nice and spacious. We didn't feel that we were cramped in any way. The one thing to keep in mind is the really thin walls. We could hear a lot of things from other rooms, and when walking down the hallway, could hear the steps of other individuals.

Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Although we didn't have the chance to eat at the restaurant, the venue and ambiance looks pleasant.

The hotel itself is about 15 minutes away from Piazza Tasso. This is usually not a problem, but a tip that I can give is that the EvaBus Line A runs from right outside the hotel to the city centre, and tickets can be had for €1.30 per person and is valid for 60 minutes or so. It would be wise to check the bus schedule before purchasing, but is a good option for those looking to travel to and from the city centre.

Overall, great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Room Tip: They all seem to be good rooms, just if you budget allows, and you're going in the right season...

Hotel Belair is just off the centre of Sorrento. The beauty of the panoramic view overlooking the harbour and the Bay of Naples is breath-taking! For me, that's what I wanted to wake up to in the morning on a trip to Sorrento and it delivered!

The breakfast was good and more than enough to get you started for the day. It's a pleasant walk into Sorrento centre and to the Piazza. It's also not too bad a walk to get to the bus and train station.

The staff here are fantastic too! Gianluca made recommendations for dinner each night depending on what we felt like trying out. I cannot do his recommendations or the food enough justice! They were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! We ate like kings every night. And he's also a fantastic person just to chat to. Monica, I feel, also deserves a mention. Thanks to her help, we could plan our day journeys regardless of where we wanted to go. All in all, a fab interactive experience.

The rooms are big and may not be to everyone's taste, but with spectacular views and stunning places to visit along the coast, you are not going to spend a lot of time in your room anyway.

Despite being towards the end of October, we still had great weather and missed the majority of tourists.

We had a great time! Thank you

Room Tip: Try to get a room without a door between you and the next room. Not sure if this was the reason for...

We very much enjoyed our stay (5 days in late October): Rooms have a georgeous view over the bay of naples, are nice and have a quite romantic charme insofar as they are not newly decorated, but furniture is not worn out at all -
breakfast on the terrace has been a repeating pleasure and waiters have been very VERY kind and nice
- only the restaurant recommendation in the evening turned out to be topped -The La Basilica became afterwards our favourite ...

Just spent a week at the Hotel Bel air in Sorrento, we booked after some simple internet research and what find! This hotel has everything you need for a fantastic stay in Southern Italy and the views from the hotel across the bay of Naples and Vesuvius alone sell it but couple that with being in walking distance to old Sorrento and the ferries to Capri, comfy beds, the friendly and efficient staff and facilities (pool, off road parking and great restaurant etc) all make it a perfect base. After the chaos of driving to see the sights like Pompeii and the Amalfi drive it was great to come "home" and drink a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the bay. Fly to Naples, rent a FIAT 500 (or take the train and buses) and spend a week touring this part of Italy whilst being treated like royalty at the Hotel Bel air!

Room Tip: All rooms seem to have a balcony with a sea view and are quiet except for the sound of the sea and t...
