My family and I have just returned from the Conca Park and had a wonderful time.
The service was excellent, particular thanks to Mario, Imma and Michael, whilst the food quality was first class.
We stayed at the hotel last year and whilst the food was good, it has improved even further, particularly the breakfast.
We hope to make it back in the near future.

We stayed at the Conca Park in July and were really delighted with the hotel. The location is ideal- right in the middle of Sorrento, near the train station, but built in such a way that there's no noise from the town at all. There is a steep tunnel leading up to the reception, but if you're healthy this poses no problem. Sorrento is so hilly anyway that if you have a problem with inclines and mobility you probably shouldn't go. Plus there is usually a buggy available to drive you up the tunnel.
Our room was clean, a reasonable size, good storage, OK shower room. The shower was dribbly because of water pressure problems, though. Many rooms have a lovely-looking balcony. The air conditioning in the rooms is good and strong and free. We barely needed to use it though because despite the red hot weather the hotel stayed nice and cool.
We thought the food was great. Breakfast had a huge range of styles: cereal, toast, juices, cakes, croissants, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, yoghurt, meat, cheese, savoury pastries and cooked food (eggs, bacon etc). Dinner was three good-size courses, with plenty of variety, lots of vegetarian options, well-cooked and several Italian dishes. The main problem at the hotel is that the drinks are extortionate. You can usually pay in cash or on a tab, and you can settle your bill at any time you like. You don't have to wait till the end of the week by any means. It is well worth hiring the fridge in your room and getting drinks from the nearby supermarkets. The fridge hire is 15 Euros (it locks) and the safety deposit box is another 10, but we didn't bother with it. You can hire beach towels for 3 Euros. We recommend you bring your own towels to supplement the hotel ones because Italian towels are pretty weird- more like tea towels.
The lounge bar is really lovely, with a gorgeous terrace garden. The pool area is very comfortable too, and even though the hotel seemed full, it was never too busy outside. There are shaded areas (great in the heat) and sunny areas. Deckchairs are free and sunbeds are 5 Euros. The pool itself was great- you could horse around or actually swim if you wanted. It's 3 metres deep at one end- so not good for young children, but there is a little kiddy pool too. There is a poolside snack bar which we never used, and waiter service drinks outside.
The staff were mostly really friendly and their English was mainly good. The reception staff gave us loads of details about local buses, trains, boats, festivals etc. We really recommend you see the sights on your own terms, rather than with your tour operator. The train line to Naples goes through Herculaneum and Pompeii and is 3.60 return. The information at the Roman sites is good and clear too, so you don't need a guide. Trains are every half an hour. Boats to Capri, Ischia, Positano, Amalfi are all available at Marina Piccola. They are regular, fast and will cost you much less than going with a tour company.
Our main beef with the hotel was that you have to share tables with other guests at dinner unless you wait until after 8pm. This got a bit frustrating for us. Most of the guests are in their 50s, so as 20-somethings we had little in common with them.

I have just returned from my second holiday at the Conca Park - I liked it so much last year I had to go back again this year, and I hope to return again soon. It was my third time in Sorrento, my favourite place to visit. The staff at the Conca Park are so friendly, they remembered me and my mother from last year and made us feel so welcome. The food is great, I enjoyed every meal.
The hotel is in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk to the main square. Some of the rooms with a balcony face an enormous rock, so you have to request a sea view. Because of this we didn't bother with a balcony this year, and although we did miss it, the view was very nice.

Over the last three years I have been to Pompeii and Herculaneum (go by train, it's much cheaper than the organised trips) and to Capri, Ischia, Positano and Amalfi. The trip to Vesuvius is also a must-do for the physically fit. This year we went on an organised one-day trip to Rome. It was great to see the Sistine Chapel and Coliseum, but a day is not nearly enough time.

Sorrento is not the cheapest place to holiday, but probably no more expensive than the UK for food and drinks. The shops offer many temptations for ladies who like to shop. The service buses are cheap and frequent, just remember to buy your tickets before boarding. Most hotels have timetables for buses, trains and crossings to Capri (20 euros return) and Ischia (30 euros return).

The views are magnificent, the perfect holidat for people who want to do more than just sunbathe.

Booked with Portland in the UK . Excellent service throughout. Reception sorted problems and provided information on resort, Naples and Pompeii along with ferry and train schedules. Food was good all week except one day when the head waiter saw us picking at food and immediantly brought an alternative. Get a sea view room with balcony if possible. it's worth the extra. We would definitely stay there again. It's about ten minutes walk from Sorrento centre, 15 minutes from the train station.

We stayed for a week with Riviera Travel and had a fantastic stay. Do ask for a sea view, nothing beats sitting on the balcony with a G & T overlooking the Bay of Naples! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the choice of food and the quality was first class and the rooms were well up to the mark. The tunnel leading to & from the hotel to Sorrento was very handy, helped us to cool down. Overall a first class stay that we would gladly repeat.

Just got back from the conca park and had a brill time. The hotel is in perfect location and in walking distance to every where. The food was great enjoyed every meal. The staff are friendly and the pool is very relaxing. The rooms were clean and air conditioning was great. We didn’t have a sea view but we did not mind. There is a long tunnel to walk up but we did not find this a problem at all. Sharing tables for evening meals was not a problem as we got to know people around the hotel which created a friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Every one i spoke to enjoyed the holiday and loved the hotel.

As first time holiday makers, we were a bit nervous about the whole thing. However I can truly say that we all had a fab time, the hotel was clean and tidy, the food delicious and the staff incredibly helpful. We travelled with Portland Direct but did all the sightseeing ourselves and it was so much cheaper.
We were in a 3 bed room on the 1st floor. We had a nice little terrace which was against the notorious cliff face, and above the kitchens however, any noise/smell was negligible with the patio doors closed, and fairly insignificant with the doors open. Our theory is that the view from the room doesn't matter, as it is only for sleeping in! The air conditioning was a God Send and didn't cost extra.
Our little boy fell in love with half the female staff and didn't want to leave, everyone was very friendly and we are already making plans to go back next year.
