We just got back from staying at the Bristol Hotel in Sorrento and can't say enough about it. When we were first showed to our room the view took my breath away. I think I could have sat on my balcony the entire trip and had a great time. I'm not usually a fan of hotel pools, however this one was on the roof and had even more amazing views. The water was always crystal clean and the sun chairs were comfortable and plentiful. The staff were very helpful in providing us with information on the area and although we didn't go on any, the hotel provides multiple excursions. The rooms are average size, very clean, and have shades for the windows and air conditioning-a MUST in July. The breakfast was incredible, especially as it was included in the price, and included a large variety complete with mimosa's! If I return to Sorrento I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We stayed at the villa bianca for seven nights in july 2011, stunning views, very clean, hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, we were only on B & B basis but we ended up having dinner there most evenings. The hotel is about ten mins away from the centre of Sorrento and away from all the noise and bustle of the town.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week in June with our 2 year old little boy and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is very uninspiring from the outside, an old white building sitting on the side of the road; but the exterior hides a true gem.

We rented the Villa Bianca which was pricey but worth every single penny. It gave us a large room and ensuite and it also came with two courtyards. The back area had a kitchenette set up outdoors and the front terrace was the best feature. It was enclosed, private, had full views over the Bay of Naples and the town of Sorrento, and it had a hammock, sun lounges, and an outdoor spa which we used constantly.

The hotel itself is built across multiple levels which can get a little confusing, but all of it is immaculately maintained and stunning. It is a real Italian hotel, with feature tiles, beautiful flowers, friendly and very professional staff. The breakfast was served in a lovely dining room which overlooked the same view of the Bay of Naples. The choice was fantastic and everyone was very accommodating.

The hotel pool is great, they have a paddling pool, a spa, a bar. The views continue to inpspire pure poetry! There are plenty of sun lounges, there was never a scramble to find one. You can find shade or sun at any time of the day, depending on your preference.

The hotel also has another terraced garden with a kids playground area with swings, slides, and a few little houses (a castle and a wood cabin). They have a table tennis table there as well which was constantly busy.

There is a stunning bar which, again, takes advantage of the views, and a terraced area for dining at lunch time and relaxing at all times of the day with day beds and seats and the smell of flowers always in the air.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Our friend also stayed there in one of the junior suites, which are also lovely, bright and roomy. We also saw the basic suites (cannot remember the name now) and this was also big and well appointed.

Location wise, it is a little out of the town itself and it is on a very busy road. However, it is only a short (5 minute) stroll into the main 'strip' and the views you get from every aspect of the hotel make this small inconvenience worth while. When you are in the hotel, every time you turn a corner you come face to face with the beautiful views. They have framed them in every possible way, taking full advantage of the location, and it just creates an experience that is hard to describe. We left the Bristol to spend a week in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, but we missed our view and our Villa for the rest of the holiday and it has certainly set a benchmark for us by which we will measure other accommodation in the future.

5 stars to the staff of this wonderful hotel. You are doing a fantastic job! We would definitely stay there again if we are in Sorrento.

This is a really lovely hotel. However, there is a dodgy modern annex on the side - in particular room 281 in that annex which was assigned to us is awful - tiny dark room with a view of a car park covered in graffiti. Not what we expected having paid nearly £3k. Others in the annex have a view of a rock face. Do complain if this happens to you, it's really not on.

We demanded to move to the main hotel and this was arranged with minimal fuss. The people at reception were very professional and helpful. We were immediately upgraded (albeit at a price) to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking Sorrento and Vesuvius, which you really could not beat.

Pool area was lovely, although rather curious roping around it to seemingly to prevent people jumping in.

Food was good and Matteo the Maitre D was very hospitable. Clientele was of a very high standard, but the evening entertainment could do with a bit of an overhaul - it was rather drab. Bar area and surroundings were very nice.

You can also swap the evening meal with lunch if you are half board so you can try out the restaurants in town which were great.

All in all, a lovely stay, but there are some suspect rooms which you should asked to me moved from if you are unlucky enough to be assigned to one.

I researched this hotel on tripadvisor before going and was looking forward to the stay, which was for a special occasion and meeting family from o/s. I was not dissapointed.

We booked a Junior Suite, which was on the 5th floor, the hotel staff were warm and friendly and greeted us upon arrival, we were shown to our room which was
breathtaking, you just cannot surpass those views!!!! Amazing.
The room had a large bathroom with shower over the bath,we had plenty of wardrobe space, a lovely couch and seating area, tv, table and chairs with fruit bowl, a very comfortable King Size bed, and a balcony on the corner of the building, overlooking the bay.
During our stay we encountered a problem with the shower hose springing a leak, we phoned reception and a maintenance man was sent up within 10minutes to check out the problem,he left and came back 10 minutes later with a new hose, and fitted it, in time for us to have a shower and go to dinner, thats what i call service :-)

In the evenings our beds were turned down and we were offered more towels if we needed them Giovanni the concierge for our floor was very helpful and welcoming.

Our family members had half board booked with their stay, we did not, but we did join them for dinner on 2 nights, the 3 courses meals provided in the restaurant were good quality, very tasty and good value for money, the menus were displayed outside the restaurant each day, so you could see what the choices were, we did think about eating in the a la carte restaurant, but were more than happy with the restaurant food.

Matteo and all the staff were very welcoming and efficient., the breakfasts were buffet style, and you could have eggs to order ie poached, boiled.

Evening entertainment in the bar was good and the views from the balcony magical at night.
The rooftop pool was very clean and well maintained, there were plenty of sun loungers, and towels could be obtained from the snack bar area. Under that was another Terrace with again perfect views, lots of lounge chairs and quite corners if you wanted to read or chill out and drink in the views.
The hotel is on a busy road, but we didnt see that as a problem, the rooms are perfectly quiet, just take care as you go out the front door and cross to the otherside of the road. The walk into town was very pleasant, i suffer from arthritis and respiratory problems, but had no problem with a slow walk into town and back again, the hotel was just far enough from all the bustle of sorrento town centre.
Across the road was a good allround store selling food, alhohol and beveridges. the other plus for me was the internet access after being away from home for a month and travelling all through italy, I found the charge for the internet to be minimal 1 euro for an hour, there are 2 good computers set away on the 1st floor, it was great being able to also use the printer there to print our boarding passes for our next flight.
I was looking forward to staying at this hotel and it didnt dissapoint, I only hope that i will one day be able to go back and stay again.
Hotel Bristol gave us a dream holiday, with the MOST spectacular views we left feeling like one of the Hotel Bristols family members with memories to last a lifetime. Thankyou.

Room Tip: Ask for a Junior Suite or Seaview with Balcony.

I have stayed at Hotel Bristol 2 times now and on both occassions this hotel has proved excellent in terms of, quality of rooms, space, stunning views, excellent customer services and great food. The staff are most welcoming and will really go out of their way in order to make your stay a pleasurable one! This hotel is also very close to Sorrento town centre and is ideal for those not wanting to walk far in order to acces amenities-although the hotel is situated on the main road which is very busy so you will need to be vigilent especially of you have small children or walking difficulties as the cars generally don't stop!
The sea view rooms are amazing, very spacious and have lovely comfortable beds and great balconies with table and chairs! The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard every day and the maids also check the rooms again in the evenings to ensure you have enough fresh towels etc.
The food is also of a very high quality with an extensive choice of breakfast and dinners in an beautiful dining room which again has the most amazing views over the bay of sorrento.
The hotel also has a great pool area with an additional jacuzzi section and a seperate baby pool as well as a great shaded area with loungers & chairs and ideal for those wishing to read a book & relax.
Overall a great hotel & worth every penny! Would definitely recommend this to couples & families.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a Sea View Room- Views are Stunning
