Palazzo Tasso is a really lovely 'boutique' hotel with exceptionally friendly, helpful hosts. Silvana is an ex aussie and Peppe speaks English well so we had no problems with language. Peppe would greet us each time we returned to the hotel and enquire as to how our day had been etc. He also makes the best coffee for everyone in the breakfast room in the mornings. The breakfast room is quite small but we never had a problem getting a table and it's sparkly clean. I did think breakfast started a little late (8am), especially if you wanted to eat before going on day trips etc and one morning we got there just after 8 and nothing had been put out as yet. A lady I'd never seen before turned up shortly thereafter with the box of pastries, put the milk out etc and apologised for Peppe being to busy to come up today - not sure what was going on but we were a little dissapointed that day. We were staying at PT with another couple and we were both very happy with our rooms. The rooms are predominantly white with solid colour bathrooms. One of which was tiled beautifully in black, the other in a lovely blue. Great showers which were big enough for two. Beautiful linen on the comfy beds with good pillows. Our room had the cutest little balcony, only big enough for 2 chairs but it was just the best place to sit with a drink in the afternoon - it had the best view in both directions of the beautiful streets of Sorrento. The only thing I could say is that the lift is EXTREMELY small, just big enough for 1 person and their suitcase, so if you suffer claustrophobia as I do you will have to use the stairs. I go in lifts all the time without a problem but this one had me really panicking by the time I got to the 3rd floor. The hotel is accessed by a little cobblestone alley. At the very end of the alley (at the back of the Piazza) there is a shop called Trattoria Terranova - they sell the best Limoncello/Crema which they make themselves (ask for a taste test), and we found it to be the cheapest of the places we tried. Their dark lemon chocolate is also divine. Sorrento is a truly beautiful place to visit with great access to all the best things to see on the coast. Overall Palazzo Tasso was a great place to stay and we would stay there again.

We stayed in the hotel with our 4mo baby. The staff Silvana & Peppe were extremly friendly from the booking until check out. Rooms are quite small but comfortable and newly decorated. A true Boutique Hotel @ a reasonable price. Was fully booked when we arrived so book in advanced!

After careful considerations, we decided to stay in Sorrento and eventually Palazzo Tasso. Sorrento is definitely the most convenient location to base yourself as you explore the Gulf of Naples and all its amazing sites.

Most of all, Palazzo Tasso was indeed the oassis for us in Sorrento especially after each tiring day of excursions. Firstly, it has all the modern comforts that you would probably need (which I think is quite rare in this area), free and working wifi, clean and newly furnished room, warm baths and air-conditioning (which you would probably need because the hotel is centrally located right on the main street of Sorrento where most of the shops are, which is another plus).

Secondly, as everyone mentioned, Sylvana, Peppe and another of the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful to our requests or questions.

Great value and I would certainly stay here again if we were in Sorrento.

Stayed here for 5 nights in mid May. The hotel is fresh clean and modern. Rooms were an OK size, the beds comfortable, and bathrooms very clean and tidy. If you like lots of pillows you might be advised to take one or two of your own. There were only 3 in the room and when we asked for more we were told there were no more. Breakfast was adequate with bread rolls, pastries, fruit, yogurt and a different type of cake daily. Juice and coffee also available. Plastic cups in the room were a disappointment, a couple of real glasses would have been nice. Staff were friendly and offered suggestions for day trip and other good advice. Location was superb right in the middle of the town centre and an easy walk to the train station. Strongly recommend the "Meating" restaurant in the same street just 1 minute walk away - best meal in Sorrento! Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: 1009 overlooked cathedral. With windows closed the bells didn't cause much disturbance. Would be...

We stayed seven nights here and as others said, the desk staff, especially Peppe and Sylvana, were very helpful and friendly. Peppe also managed the breakfast and helped with problems (clogged shower, A/C not working, etc.). Issues were addressed quickly and honestly. As long as the A/C was working, we could close the windows and get a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was good considering the overall per night cost. Peppe managed the breakfast room very well. We also used the parking service for 15 euros per day, which worked out pretty well and seemed to be a good value, too. We would stay at Palazzo Tasso again for the location and the value.

Silvana (I think that is her name) was very friendly and helped us with planning some local trips. The breakfast is not that great but you can grab something quick if you are in a hurry. Location is really great. It is only a 10 minute walk from the train station and a mere 5 minute walk from the city center. Overall a good stay.
