Description: L’Orangerie poolside bar & restaurant offers delicious favourites in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Located in the orange grove by the pool area, L'Orangerie is open every day for lunch and dinner during the summer season. We create our mouth-watering dishes using three principles at L'Orangerie: Mediterranean character, absolute quality in raw materials and modernity. The menu supports local food producers and regional flavours. At night, the restaurant's bar transforms into a glamorous lounge area serving late night tapas style, delicious small plates and local and international wines and exotic speciality cocktails.

Friends who had stayed at the Excelsior Vittoria last year had recommended us to eat at the hotels poolside/restaurant , L`Orangeria.
We decided to go there on our last night in Sorrento and were very enthusiastic as soon as we entered the open air restaurant.
Beautifully set in a part of the hotels gardens & next to their fabulous pool; just perfect.
The food was delicious & the waiters very helpful.
However,to our great disappointment, the evening was ruined by the cooks nearby who talked so loudly,(fortunately, we couldn`t understand!), it was quite apparent they were oblivious we, the guests in the dining area, could hear!!
The `conversation` was so loud & heated we were unable to continue our own small talk over dinner.

My husband & I were disappointed as this was our last special dinner in Sorrento & we were quite shocked at the apparent lack of consideration for the diners.

We decided to go to L'Orangerie for lunch on our anniversary. The food was delicious & freshly cooked by the chefs whom we could see in the kitchen. We had bread & pizza bread whilst we waited for our main course & it was really lovely. We only had main courses as we were eating out at another restaurant in the evening, but they were excellent.
We had a lovely quiet lunch & the staff were very friendly.

This is a lovely place to eat. The food was of a very good quality and all cooked to order in front of you as you can see the chef's working. We had a simple meal with wine and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The service was efficient and quiet. The drinks are a little pricy but that was the only issue we had.

We were attracted to this restaurant because it was offering a fixed price buffet and we thought it would be a good opportunity to sample different local dishes. The restaurant looks very small from the street and is in a side road and easy to miss. When we went in to make a booking the concierge showed us through to the beautiful dining area set amongst orange and lemon trees. When we arrived for our meal we were shown the buffet table which was groaning with starters, main courses (including vegetables) and desserts of all sorts. We were very happy that we were going to dine well. Then we were presented with a menu of pasta dishes, pizzas and meat and fish entrees; we could choose any of these to be freshly cooked at the open-air kitchen. We enjoyed a veritable banquet for the bargain price of 40 euros! Both food and service were excellent. The a la carte menu is expensive but would almost certainly be worth it for a special occasion. If you get the opportunity to sample a buffet evening, don't pass it by.

L' Orangerie is an elegant poolside bar and restaurant set in an oasis of orange and lemon trees.Being attached to the Grand Excelsior Victoria Hotel it offers great food and service at a moderate cost. The kitchen is situated between the pool area and the orchard. The lunch is light and has a wide choice of salads,antipasti,wood-fired pizzas, pasta, fish, second di carne and desserts The staff are courteous and the service is excellent.
L' Orangerie is an excellent choice for lunch or an elegant evening dinner.
