This is really outstanding hotel in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I have stayed here four times now, and will do so again in a couple of months. Even though this is a five-star hotel in the Hilton family, my sister and I have always been treated like we were family by the staff. In fact, we regularly communicate with one of them on Facebook in between our stays. The views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius from the Hilton Sorrento Palace are amazing, and a multitude of wonderful restaurants and shops are only a short walk away. While the price is upscale, the value for your dollar cannot be matched.

Room Tip: Best views from floor 3 and up.

The Hilton Palace sits atop a hill with a wonderful view of the Bay.
Rooms are large and comfortable, beds are excellent and service always corteus
We've been here twice already (August, which is top summer season in Italy) and New Year's Eve, which is top season everytwhere and the hospitality has always been impeccable.
Pools are great and food, at least for breakfast and snacks (Sorrento offers too many choices to dine in the property) is first quality.
Don't be afraid to ask, the personnel is all local and always very, very nice.

Room Tip: Ask for Bay View!

Great views and balcony area. Breakfast great. Room a bit tired and not that clean, stained curtains and marks on wall.

The major problem was that there was a big conference at the same time as our family holiday. Although at breakfast the waiters tried to keep us separate, they gave up. Definitely felt like the delegates were taken care of first and the rest of us had to wait. One evening drinks took 40 minutes while all the conference people were taken care of. It took three attempts to get our drinks and although eventually they were taken off the bill, that was the very least they could do.

Be prepared to pay a fortune for drinks and food so wander into town which just takes minutes.

Dear Sarajeffers,

Thank you very much for communicating your experience at the Hilton Sorrento Palace. We appreciate the opportunity to hear our Guests’ opinion concerning our property and take this as constructive feedback that can help us better our service.

I am sorry to hear that you felt as a second class citizen. Our Barmen, Gennaro and Peppe, did acknowledge the fact that you had to wait for your drinks. They have been apologized and offered the drinks complimentary. This shows that we value our entire guest’s satisfaction.

I would be delighted if you choose to return to our property and would appreciate if you contacted me should you wish to arrange your next holiday in Sorrento.

With kind regards,

Paolo Pedrazzini

Lovely hotel setting with great view. Room was on 2nd floor near lift area and doors were so thin that you heard every noise.... not for a decent sleep but you would have the same issue in th eother rooms also. Bed was hard and not very comfortable, checkin / checkout was pleasent enough and no issues. Nice setting but didnt deliver 5 star and rooms a little tired without the 5 star touch.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near lift as walls and door very thin and with flooring they have you hear every noise!

Spend 3 days in Hilton Sorrento on a conference.
The Hotel is fine, the food is ordinary Italian, the service is fine - nothing surprising.

The greatest feature is the view - so when you have the option to get a room with a Seaview it's worth the extra.

The location is a bit uphill from the city, but nothing you can't do in 10 minutes.
