“Good, even if a little strange!”
Reviewed July 18, 2014

Went here whilst on honeymoon, after being advised by trip advisor. We enjoyed it, however the experience was a little strange. The staff seemed very occupied with something else, which was indoors (the seating area is outside on decking on the beach) They were polite enough though. They only have fish on the menu, so beware of this! It's quite expensive, but worth it for the culinary experience! I had cuttlefish, which I'd never tried before and I'm glad I tried something new! My husband's main meal was extremely small - a tiny portion of ravioli on a large plate, which was fine, as we knew it was fine dining, however he was starving afterwards! My risotto portion in comparison was huge, which didn't make much sense - but it was delicious! If you're a foodie, who likes to try new things then this is the place for you!

“Excellent food and very friendly service... Don't miss this”
Reviewed July 18, 2014

We had two mediocre meals in Sorrento before we tried this and are really pleased we did. The food is fine dining at a good price. I had fantastic fresh seared tuna which was a starter but was more like a main course and the home-made pasta was the best I have ever eaten, it was 'melt in the mouth'. We asked for a wine recommendation and Mario helped us with the perfect local white wine. They insisted on driving us back to our hotel as we were the last to leave. The restaurant is not easy to spot, it's in the main Marina on the beach 'under' the Excelsior Vittoria. If you want something more than pizza and appreciate fine dining don't miss this.

“Good food and service”

Had a lovely meal and good service in a great beach side location tucked away around a corner, but not quite "excellent".

“Lost 2 star with wrong attitude”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

Located on a little street of the port of Sorrento, we were convinced by the waiter to sit down for lunch. Since this restaurant was on my list, we decided to try it. Only one table was occupied. The food was amazingly good. We had the lemon risotto ( a dream) another appetizer and the catch of the day ( sea bass) as a main course. We were asked if we cared for a limoncello and of course we accepted. Our surprise was the fact that they charged us for the "offered limoncellos" when the lunch bill came to 183€ (230$). We were also charge a few euros for the vegetables that were suggested with the fish. Too bad, I told them they had made a big commercial mistake and they offered us a half liter o limoncello. I am sorry this experience ended up on such a disappointing note as we would have gone back several times. It is in front of the sea and with the quality of the food, it should have been crowded...

“Michelin Style Food & Attentive Service.”
Reviewed July 10, 2014 via mobile

This place really is tucked away on a beach area behind the Grand hotel Excelsior Vittoria in the marina Picolla. The setting of the outdoor dining area looked like a fast food type place and had it not been recommended to us we possibly wouldn't have visited. The service and food are outstanding. It's Michelin style presentation and service so if you're used to larger portions eat a little snack before your visit!!!! Before our starter arrived we were given an amuse bouche. For our starters my hubbi had seared tuna which was perfectly presented and I had ricotta and shrimp ravioli. This was served in a tomato foam and had some lovely flavours. For mains we had Sea Bream and Gurnard. They recommended we order a side and we made the mistake of a salad which was simply iceberg lettuce at €5. - avoid!! We shared a creme brûlée which was amazing. They then brought us complimentary dessert bites. These were lovely too. The offered us limoncello which we accepted however this was then charged to us. In other restaurants it's always been complimentary so avoid unless you don't mind the charge. Worth a visit for the food experience and first class service.
