“Home away from home”

We are a family of three adults and a teenager and absolutely loved our stay here.

The apartment is very well equipped and very well located. Just a short walk from the main piazza, very close to supermarkets, butcher, deli, bakery, restaurants, and other amenities. Yet it is nestled in a quiet, residential area and away from the crowds of the main square and Corsa Italia.

The view, as promised, is magical, Mount Vesuvius in full view every day. I only wished it wasn't winter and we could sit out in the balcony to enjoy it. Nonetheless we were treated to the view of the big Christmas tree situated on the main piazza. And if you stay over the Christmas period -- you'll even get to enjoy fireworks displays at night.

The icing on the cake is of course Apollonia and Francesco Adelizzi, the owners!! They were the warmest, sweetest, most generous people. They treated us with a basket full of fruits from their garden, home made pomodori (absolutely the best!!), olive oil and home made limoncello (a real kicker!). And they went all the way out to ensure our stay was comfortable. She patiently showed me how to make use of the Italian coffee maker to brew expresso which we savored every morning!!

Grazie Millie Apollonia, Francesco and Gerardo. If we ever get the opportunity to visit Sorrento again, we will definitely come back to this our "home away from home"

“Home away from home, comfortable and private”
Reviewed November 30, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

The apartment was more than adequate in many ways. It was spacious, clean, equipped with everything you need (if not more) for a comfortable stay. Ideal locale, approx. 550 meters 9 mins walk to Piazza Tasso (town centre), a supermarket just 20 meters from apartment, you can replenish your dry stores (snacks, water etc) as often as you like. What gave us the most impact was the two Mr. Adelizzi (Gerardo and his Dad - owners of the apartment) they were hospitable, accommodating, helpful and most of all prompt in response to any requests we had. We totally enjoyed our stay there!

“You won't forget the incredible views!”

Lovely apartment, so well equipped - kettle (often absent from Italian rentals), toaster, iron/ironing board, hair-dryer, lots and lots of fluffy towels and nice welcoming touches, such as fresh tomatoes, bottled water, olive oil and a basket of delicious fresh lemons! Oh and some croissants!

We were met at the train station by Gerardo's father who, along with his wife, showed us around the apartment and helped us settle in.

All in all, a very pleasant experience - we will stay here again on our next visit to Sorrento!

“Great apartment, great location, great view”

A large, comfortable apartment with a great view over the bay to Vesuvius. It's just a short walk from the apartment to the main piazza and the maze of shops and restaurants that sorrento offers. Sorrento is a good base to explore the area. The one drawback is the parking. If you can avoid it don't hire a car. You might get lucky and get a space in the apartment block but they go as soon as a car leaves. If you can't get a space it is €2 per hour on the street or €20 per day at the parking area nearby. There is a grocer, newsagent and supermarket at the end of the road.

Would definitely recommend. It was great to be met and welcomed on arrival even though it was late and the tomato sauce and olive oil were delicious.

“fabulous sorrento”
Reviewed June 10, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

we stayed a week at this apartment in March,
it is the first time for us to rent an apartment as usually we do package deals or fly drive holidays
i was a bit concerned about how it would all work out but i needn't have
the guy that owns this apartment(Gerardo) is super organised.
you email him about anything and straight away you have an answer.
Gerardo rents out this apartment with the help of his parents.the nicest people you would wish to meet
we were meet from the bus station by Gerardo's father and taken on a tour of the area so we could get our bearings and know where things were
then taken to the apartment.which is the top floor of a small block of apartments. there is a lift so no worries about lots of stairs.there are only two apartments per floor.
the roof terrace you see on trip advisor belongs totally to the apartment and is not joined to any other apartment.it is a fabulous area to sit and look out over Sorrento and mount Vesuvius
the welcome pack you get on arrival is such a thoughtful touch ,there was enough ingredients to make a meal, plus fresh fruit, bottled water, milk,
the kitchen is fully equipped
beds are very comfortable
the apartment is very clean and spacious
my only negative is there is no lounge (sitting room) the weather in march wasn't really good enough to make full use of the roof terrace so we sat most of the time in the kitchen when we were in
i would strongly recommend this apartment and considering how busy and noisy Sorrento is this apartment is lovely ans peaceful

“Easy Access, Great Views, Delicious Treats!”

Our rental started with Gerardo's father picking us up at the train station. The three of us picked in to his little car with all of our luggage and made the short trip up the hill to the apartment. Gerardo's mother met us outside the apartment and helped us with our bags.

Arriving in the apartment, we were shown the two large bedrooms and great bathrooms, then had espresso made by mama and the homemade goodies she was leaving for us were described. Home grown oranges and lemons, tomatoes all ready for sauce, and, our favorite, her homemade limoncello!

We all walked out on the amazing terrace to see the lights of Naples and admire the pretty planter of flowers on the table. Wonderful place to sit and drink our morning coffee.

This is an easy place to walk to the center, the train station, and the port for the ferry to Capri. There is a great little pizza place right around the corner and the restaurant commended by the owner, Il Giardino di Tasso is absolutely fabulous and the owner a hoot.

Overall, we loved it here, although there is no living room or common area other than the kitchen which is where we spent most of our it mime when not out enjoying the sights or sleeping! Great value for the money.
