We had a great time with Massimo our driver on our cruise visit to Salerno. He was waiting when we arrived with a nice Mercedes sedan. We had booked a tour of Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. Lucia was great to work with by email setting things up and the price was very reasonable. Lucia was particularly helpful as we booked the tour very late. She arranged an excellent guide for our visit to Pompeii. We arrived a little early at Pompeii so Massimo treated us to coffee and cappuccino's at a nearby restaurant where our guide met us. The tour usually ends in Positano and then returns along the inland highway. We told Massimo we were interested in driving the Amalfi coast back to Salerno which he said was possible if we watched the time at our stops to avoid the heavy traffic along the coast. Everything went perfect and we returned along the coast with a short stop in Massimo's home town of Amalfi for gellato. If we travel to the Salerno/Naples area again we will use Lucia and her company.

The arrangements were made with Luca and everything went to plan. Our driver Osaria was waiting for us when we got off the ship and whisked us off for a fantastic day trip. First stop was Ravello, a magical town where we shopped, next was Amalfi for more shopping. This was even better. Next stop was Positano where we could have spend a week and still want more! After a late lunch in a resturant high on the Positano cliffs we drove back to Naples via Sorrento to meet our ship. The views from the days drive were splendid and we stopped a couple of times for photos. What a fantastic day.

Lovely Amalfi Coast Tours is the only tour company that I know of, that does both, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Their pricing was very competitive and you get both tours for the price of one. Giovanni spoke very good English and being typical Italian, was a great conversationalist. He was pretty honest about the state of things in Italy. My wife needed wifi, and had wifi in his Mercedes minivan--cool. By the time you get back to the ship, you'll think you are saying goodbye to a buddy. Definitely the best tour out of Naples, but book early as he is a one man tour company.

This excursion provider really goes the extra mile to provide a service for its customers. We arrived in Naples and were ready to take the tour as a couple - but we discovered that our cruise 'neighbours' had been unable to book a tour for themselves - all ship trips were full - so we offered them the day out with us - providing the Excursion Company were able - and we were not disappointed - and neither were our neighbours - now good friends!! Our driver - Rosario contacted the main office to check that it was OK to take the extra two passengers and a very realistic extra charge was agreed - and so we were off. We were waiting for Vesuvius entrance gate to open to visit - well ahead of the crowds (we met them all going in on the way down!) - Then off to a cameo factory for a private visit - again - leaving as the coaches all pulled in - and so to Pompeii - and their amazing Cathedral in the ';new' City - what a shame so many people visit the 'buried' city and miss this amazing building. So, having seen the cathedral a private tour of the Pompeii site with our very knowledgeable guide - 2 hours well spent! Then back over to Naples - to sample the delights of one of the oldest Pizzeria's in the City - excellent - a tour of the city's landmarks then followed before we were delivered back to our ship in good time. It was an amazing day - and speaking to those on our cruise ship who went on larger tours - they felt that they had missed out!! This was a brilliant day, and the information and consideration given throughout by Rosario - our driver, just made it for us all! So, thanks Lucia - for an amazing day, for your amazing driver, and I wish you well for the coming year with all your tours - not to use this service would definitely mean missing out !!

From the moment my wife and I were greeted at Naples port by John Luca the whole excursion was 5 star. His in depth information (in English and Italian), driving and parking skills (for photos) on the very busy but beautiful Amalfi coast are to be complimented.
The sights along the coast, Positano, Amalfi and the spectacular view from the ristorant at Ravello are memories we will hold dearly forever.
Thank you Lucia for your initial arrangements and prompt e-mail replies . If considering an excursion from Naples we would not hesitate in recommending Naples Port Shore Excursion.
Grazie mille Lucia and John Luca
