“Excellent all round!”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

We spent 4 nights at Villa Angiolina (we are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 teenagers.) We found everyone very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and very comfortable as well as varied choice at breakfast. It is a quiet location yet ideal for the bus/train station (20 mins walk) as well as a short walk to the shops, restaurants and a 20-30 min walk to the boats to Naples, Capri etc. I would recommend getting a taxi when you first arrive as may be difficult to find but it is easy once you know where it is. We were given a local map and train/boat/ bus times as well as a daily weather forecast. Would definitely recommend the Villa Angiolina to family and friends and would stay there again.

Room Tip: We had the family room called Orchidea, had a small balcony as well as a separate area to sit outsid...

Hidden away, although just off the main roads, not difficult to get too and from, such a peaceful setting with really pretty well kept grounds.
We were on a walking holiday and this was chosen by our agent, arriving at 9.30 am w expected to be leave our luggage and to have to come back later in the day, but no, room was already and available to us, also breakfast was still in operation and we were asked if we would like a coffee etc., we were greeted with warmth and friendliness.
No numbers here all rooms are named after flowers, we stayed on a lower floor in Lavender which had its own private terrace/patio screened by plants and shrubs, ideal to sit reading and to relax.
Just a short walk to a supermarket and only 10mins to main shopping and the heart of Sorrento, and only 15 mins to the main harbour where we can recommend a fish lunch.
Train station also only a 15mins walk, but because of the situation of the hotel would suggest using a taxi, do not let this minor detail detract from a wonderful small, friendly family run establishment.
Huge bathroom, with everything that is required, will definitely be returning in the future.
Unlike here in the UK free easy accessible WIFI, we were sitting outside and still able to use it.

We spent 2 nights at Villa Angiolina in Sorrento. We took a family vacation and had 4 rooms for 9 people. The inn made sure to put all of our rooms close to each other. There are 12 rooms at the inn with a lovely garden and grounds. The rooms were what you would expect for the price- no pool or sea view but perfect for the price. Breakfast was a continental breakfast with your typical offerings that varied slightly. The staff was great and very helpful. We were dropped off by a car service upon arrival but I can understand how some could find it difficult to find at first. I would stay at Villa Angiolina again without hesitation. Thanks for the nice stay.

Having been back less than a week the memory of our stay is still in our minds. What to say that hasn't been said already is proving difficult. We had a twin bedded room on ground level which led out onto a spacious patio perfect for sitting outside.

The room was large with lots of storage and the bathroom complete with the biggest shower we have ever had anywhere else in Italy was perfect - must also mention that towels are supplied everyday. The view of the garden from our room just added to the whole experience of serenity - an earlier reviewer said that he could have just stayed a whole week in the garden and we now know what he means.

Breakfast was more than adequate and catered for all tastes although we gave up on tea as the water is never hot enough and the location was perfect for reaching Tasso Square but as we are elderly it took us longer than ten minutes.

It is a delightful place run by charming people.

p.s. Always a good idea to take earplugs.

Lovely setting and beautifully appointed. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast varied. Room comfortable, clean and pleasant. A great place to stay away from the noise of the town but only a short walk away from restaurants and transportation

What a peaceful, clean, and comfortable oasis in Sorrento! Everything was perfect. The bedding is comfortable, the rooms spacious and well appointed, the staff accomadating and the area was quiet. Breakfast is simple, but very good. They have an expresso machine, so good coffee, meats, cheese, fresh juice, yogurt and nice pastries.

The place is very difficult to find, even with directions, since there are not any street signs. TAKE a taxi the first time! Once you know where your are, you will be just 10 minutes walking from the main city square. Only complaint is we had a few problems with Wi-Fi in our 2nd room.

Sorrento is the PERFECT location for seeing the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii (we preferred Herculaneum) and to relax. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We had 2 rooms during our stay, the first was on the ground floor with a nice terrasse. It was very...

We had a lovely and long stay at the Inn. Our allotted room was superb, private and relatively quiet. It included a king-size bed, unusual in Europe. One piece of advice to the owners, it would be wise to regularly check the state of the mattress. The grounds are as beautiful as the photos indicate. The breakfast we felt was quite adequate, although my wife would have preferred a higher quality cappuccino in the morning instead of a self-serve machine which doesn’t quite fit the image of the property. The staff, a family operation, was very efficient and friendly. The Inn is very well located, a short walking distance to both the historic center of Sorrento and the Piazza Tasso where the action is. It is also a short distance to the train station where you can also board busses. Overall, a pleasant stay in a fine property.
