Just come back from a week in Sorrento and our tour guide recommended the Foreigners' Club. Our party of four ended up eating there four or five times during our week. From the outside the Club looks like an old cinema, but once you walk through the foyer and through to the terrace covered eating area you quickly see why it has such a good reputation. To start with the views are fantastic, you look over the Bay of Sorrento and you can see the outline of Naples, Capri and of course Vesuvius. The terrace is well laid out with ample room between tables and waiters that are happy for you to try your best Italian. All of the waiters spoke good English and were happy to discuss the right wine to have with our meals. Sometimes we popped in for a snack and sometimes for a full evening meal. Always the food was very good and well presented. The Foreigners' Club is a favourite for weddings. Whilst we were there we were saw five wedding receptions, and all of them were British couples.
If you are ever near Sorrento do not miss the opportunity to have a drink or better still a meal here, you will not regret it.
