Not so much a bed & breakfast as three well decorated rooms above a beauty salon. Breakfast was at a pretty dismal cafe across the road. Sad thing is, there are lots of not-so-cheap and tacky places in Sorrento and we didn't really warm to the place. We spent one night here and one on Capri. Given our time again, we'd certainly spend two nights on Capri.
The room was nice but not amazing. Modern and beautiful bathroom. Certainly not cheap, even in the off-season, and you could probably stay in a well-equipped hotel for less. Its location within Sorrento was excellent - we hardly had any noise and were barely a two minute walk away from the main square.
We have found that there are plenty of places in Southern Italy that will go the extra mile to be hospitable. We didn't get that impression of this place. I think I prefer the faded grandeur, charm, romance and grace of many places in Italy to the modern perfection this place offers.

We loved our home away from home in Sorrento. Located in the heart of Sorrento, Magi House is close to restaurants, shopping, market, train station, buses and marina. Sorrento is a great base for excursions to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, etc. Staff - Ilaria and Danilo - were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay and made great recommendations. We loved Inn Bufalito and ate there several times. Fauno Bar was another favorite and serves super cappuccinos. The roof terrace was lovely and a great hang out for a glass of vino, writing postcards or travel journaling in the evening. If I am ever in the Sorrento area again, I would gladly return to Magi House.

Room Tip: We stayed several nights in the Vesuvio suite. Ultra modern and comfortable with window overlooking the via. Soundproof windows made it very quiet. Roomy bathroom/shower. Kitchen is small but was supplied with most everyting we needed.

This beautifully renovated B&B is in a perfect location in Sorrento for easy access to train, bus, restaurants, everything! A yatch tour to Capri was arranged and was perfect. No matter what activities you plan for the Sorrentine peninsula, it is accessible from Magi House by public transportation or walking. The gracious staff provide helpful information and recommendations, and in fact helped us book bus tickets during train strike. We would definitely return to Magi House if the opportunity to visit Sorrento presents itself again.

We stayed 5 nights in September. The location couldn't be better, close to the beach and marinas in a quiet area surrounded by excellent restaurants. Close to the train station where you could catch the train to go to Pompei or a bus to go to the Amalfi coast. We stayed in the Penthouse as well as the Sirene hotel room since we could not book for 5 nights in the same unit due to the popularity & excellent reputation of this B&B. We booked in February for a stay in September. Make sure you book early in the year..it is so worth it!!! All the pictures you see on their website are exactly like reality. Extremely clean , we even get a fresh hibiscus flower every day in our room. All the staff members are so nice & they give excellent advice. A very good breakfast is served just across the street. Many thanks for a wonderful stay to Mariano , Ilaria & Danielo!!! Ginette & Michel

We had the Veusuvio suite for several days, more like an apartment than a hotel room. Booked nearly a year in advance. Large 2 floor room for the centre of a old city. It has a little kitchen so we saved a fortune by not eating every meal in a restaurant (of which, there are no shortages, in fact you walk out the front door and there are 4 decent restaurants right in front of you). There is a supermarket near the train station which is less than a 10 minute walk away.

Great base for exploring Sorrento and the many nearby tourist attractions. Staff is very helpful in arranging tours and transportation if you need it. They recommended a boat trip around Capri on a small boat and that was a real highlight and very affordable considering what you get.

Only very minor complaints. No kleenex, no paper towels or napkins in the kitchen and the shower drained too slow. Only english tv were news stations (which is only an issue if you are on a longer stay because there is so much to do nearby) Easily fixable ... hint hint.

Free and reliable wifi. Afforable, clean building and good staff. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends.
