Description: Our historic Delicatessen was founded in Salerno by the Conte family in 1919. We specialise in the highest-quality, local and regional delicacies, with particular emphasis on Slow-Food and Organic products. We have a wide range of local wines from small-scale producers, which offer excellent value for money, as well as some of our favourite regional and national wines. Our range changes each month and according to the seasons. We sell local pickles and preserves, as well as vegetables, locally produced honey and artisan conserves. Our mozzarella is delivered to us fresh every day and is among the best on the market. We also sell Baccala - fillets of dried Icelandic cod and a true Italian delicacy. This is available for you to prepare at home, or ready cooked from our deli counter. You can also try our full range of cheeses and meats in our special tasting room, with its vintage 1950s Berkel slicing machine. Your choice of delicacies from our counter can be paired with a glass of wine or one of our local artisan beers, all of which we'd be delighted to advise you on, and all of our wines are available by the glass. In order to offer the level of service we pride ourselves on, we welcome bookings. We aren't organised like a traditional restaurant - it's up to you what you choose from the deli - and of course we're always happy to advise on particular products. Wine or beer can be chosen from our display - the price is the same whether you take it away with you or drink it on the premises

Popped here on the strength of previous Trip Advisor reviews and so glad we did as it became a highlight of our holiday in the region. Local food served with a passion that only can be done in Italy! Great selection, the aubergine was exceptional and the selection of cheeses, meats and accoutrements is not to be missed. Used our google translate to get across our thanks and were rewarded with a complimentary cherry liqueur, lovely lunch!

Loved this place, so authentic we shared lunch with locals and not tourists. Doesn’t seem to be a menu you choose from produce that’s on display so we asked for a selection of cheese an meats. Boy oh boy does it deliver, great selection and the owner is so passionate about the produce it shines through. Good vino as well the house red was perfectly acceptable. Do not miss this place if you like wine and you like cheese and meats.

We decided to eat at Botteghelle65 after spending the morning touring the Castello di Arechi and the Minerva Gardens. We were very happy that we chose this restaurant for lunch! We were greeted warmly and shown all of the delicious food options in the tantalizing display case. After choosing the lemon pasta, fish, escarole and caprese, we were seated promptly and enjoyed our delicious family style feast. We had dessert and limoncello afterwards. Highly recommend!

This is a great introduction to regional food, produce and wine. The meat and cheese board is a meal in itself, especially with a primo. Helpful knowledgeable owner and staff.

Just wanted to share what a delicious lunch we enjoyed here. It was fun trying the different varieties of food cooked fresh for the day selected by the helpful staff. Each dish was a pleasant surprise and well described by our waiter. This was a different type of restaurant that we were used too. What a pleasant surprise, yummy tasty food! The owner came past to explain and check we were enjoying his food, and we sure were! A great experience in Salerno. So glad we experienced it.
