Being strorm bound in Salerno harbour was amply compensated by the memorable dinner we had at Aladino. Having read reviews about the extraordinary creativity of the Chef we choose the surprise menue "Scielgo io" and we were not disappointed. Mr Rispoli gave us lots of choices which he discussed with us and adapted to our particular preferences. He is a real "virtuoso", one dish after another arrived, everything perfect and presented with care and artistry. Also the wine (at €20) was well chosen to accompany the meal. Probably due to the bad weather and time of the evening (early), we were the only guests, but the friendly and efficient service made up for the lack of ambiance which comes with a full restaurant. As for the cost, I think €35 a head for such high quality food is NOT expensive. We shall certainly come back and recommend the restaurant to others.
