“Molto bene”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

I was there yesterday with a colleague from the Accademia Italiana, very nice waitress who basically could only speak Italian, but I liked that. We took an antipasto misto di mare and a Primi, Cortecce al pesto di rucola, cozze e bottarga di muggine, both were really really good. To that, we took a bottle of rosé wine, which was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Salerno.

“Superb food, excellent prices”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

We tried two days previously to get into this restaurant... but it was closed for cooking classes. It was worth the wait.... the food is fantastic.

We started with the Antipasti di Mare.... Kings Prawns covered in a spun web of savory deliciousness, octopus, calamari and an achovy and ricotta strudle... every thing perfectly seasoned and totally delicious.

We skipped the pasta course and went straight to the steak, covered in a raddicio salad. The best steak ever! Cripsy outer, but soft and tender on the inside, covered in a delicious shredded raddicio salad. We then had a cheese round, (which was not on the menu, but no problem for the very helpful staff)...we got a selection of regional cheeses which were sensational, complemented by the chef's own mandarin orange marmalade and some greek yogurt. The pear semi freddo was also excellent. 3 courses each, 4 glasses of wine, 2 bottles of water, cheese and coffees came to €72.

This is fine dining and at a price that cannot be beaten. We will be very surprised if we have any better food on this trip.

Imaginative and absolutely delicious! It was definitely worth searching the place through the cobblestone streets of Salerno!
