My husband and I spent 6 nights at Salerno Centro and found it to be ideal for visiting the Naples/Amalfi area. There are only 3 rooms, so the B&B is quiet and homey. Kaoru, the manager, is very friendly and helpful in providing maps and information on train and bus connections, so we were able to visit Pompeii, Paestum, Amalfi, Caserta and Naples on our own by public transportation. We like to travel that way, but they will also provide a driver if you prefer that. Salerno's "Centro Storico," where the B&B is located, is delightful to wander around, too. It feels very authentic, and not like a tourist town. Another bonus is the restaurant recommendations - we had some wonderful meals and even got a discount at a couple of places. Kaoru and Lina provide an ample and tasty breakfast every morning, and we really enjoyed talking with them on the mornings we weren't rushing off to the train station. The last day they were kind enough to let us stay in our room until it was time to catch our train back to Rome. We would highly recommend staying with them if you are visiting the area. We chose Salerno Centro because of the excellent Tripadvisor reviews, and they were right!
