“Awesome owner/manager”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Me and my kids rent a self catering apartment downstairs to Pogerola for several days and went to the village to buy some food. It was a storm that evening and it was impossible to go to Amalfi for dinner. Gerry's pub was the best surprise we ever had. The food, the atmosphere, the music, the friendly and smart attitude of the owners were awesome. We arrived from Rome, where we enjoyed to go to a restaurant, where you have to wait for an available table. Gerry's pub was much better. From any point of view. I guess Gerry and his wife love their business and put passion in it. I recommend to anybody who visits Amalfi to take the bus for Pogerola, just to have this experience. From my point of view, it was just perfect.

“Well worth the trip up from Amalfi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

We'd seen the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to get away from the crowds at Amalfi and caught the local bus to Pogerola. The restaurant was fairly quiet at lunchtime but both our starters were excellent - the "Country" choice of meat and the "Italiano" choice of meats and cheeses. Hubby had the pasta with Sicilian sauce (aubergine, tomato ) and I had the ravioli with prawn and rucola in a salmon sauce. Both very tasty . The only average part of the meal was the tiramisu which was too 'cake-like' for me. Good food, good value for money, friendly service from Gerry himself and all staff and an excellent location ..... and a nice walk back down to Amalfi via the old track with 746 steps!

“Fantastic views and amazing value food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We met the owner, Gerry, what a really really nice guy.
Had dinner there which was pretty good food (not brilliant) but fantastically cheap, superb value.
Views out the back over to Ravello are fantastic.
Well recommended.
