After spending hours pouring over many reviews of hotels on Trip Advisor, we decided to stay at the Santa Caterina. WOW! This was an incredible hotel. We stayed 5 nights. Location is fantastic, full breakfast buffet is amazing, the scenery is to die for......every square inch of the hotel is clean, clean, clean. They offer a free shuttle to downtown Amalfi (within walking distance but this was a nice touch). The staff is so warm and welcoming. The location is great - close by the ferries (we went to Capri), close to town. They were running a special since the hotel was not at full capacity. April is a perfect time to go. This was an amazing experience and a grand way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary.
Stay here and you will not want for anything.

My Wife and I had the pleasure of stating at this wonderful hotel on the Amalfi Coast. The Hotel,Staff are worth every euro you spend. The Dinners and Breakfasts along with the staff in the Resturant were wonderful....top notch Waiters,Servers and Captain. The front desk personnel cannot do enough to make your stay pleasurable. All of the hotel staff are refined and customer oriented to help you make the most of your stay.........the View in your room and the resturant overlooking the Amalfi Coastline was breathtaking. The Rooms and Bathrooms were not like your typical European rooms..they are large and airy with the flavor of being on a tropical island..........This is a Hotel NOT to be missed if you are staying in Amalfi.........

This was the last stop on our honeymoon and our five nights there were sensational. Firstly it is the most beautiful picturesque hotel we have stayed in. The setting in beautiful gardens perched high into the cliff is beyond words.

We had a standard room with a side sea view which was right by the road but that didn't bother us. The room was basic but exactly as a Med bedroom should be with cool colours and soft furnishings. The room was spotless and spacious.

The service is second to none. All the staff remember your name and room number every time you order and they are all so polite and friendly. The front desk was the best I have ever experienced and all the staff there should be proud of themselves for their professionalism.

The restaurant food was outstanding and the views really are to die for on every level of the complex. The pool area is also fantastic and very well lay out.

We loved the busy town of Amalfi and also hired a boat with our own private "Capitano" to go over to Capri and Positano etc which was amazing as the weather was great for our whole trip.

It is very expensive but if you want five star treatment in what is the best five star hotel I have ever stayed in then this is definitely the place for you.

If only we could have afforded the honeymoon suite it would have been just that little bit more perfect.

We have already pledged to return for one of our anniversarys.

Final honeymoon stop and it was fantastic. We spent ages choosing our hotel in Amalfi and we weren't disappointed. Some of the reviews are right in that the rooms aren't amazing but they are very clean and comfortable and large, decorated in traditional tiles, even if they haven't been updated in some time. We're picky and we had no complaints about the rooms. There is some inter-room noise and I'm sensitive about that sort of thing but it was more than bearable. To be honest, we didn't spend that much time in the rooms.

Basically, we were welcomed into the hotel by the staff and didn't leave till we had to get our taxi to the airport as there was no need! Pool area was great; very relaxing. We liked the lunch and dinner restaurants and enjoyed great food and service. Amalfi looked lovely but we just didn't make it there!

Our final night was in the Romeo and Juliet chalet which was very romantic. We ordered dinner to be delivered to our balcony and just watched the sun go down. Was great.

Loads of people seem to go there year on year, which is why it was difficult to book, and we could see why. It is very very expensive but we felt it was worth it. So relaxing and a world away. Will definitely go back.

I highly recommend this hotel when visiting the Amalfi Coast. It's a unique property built into the cliff side just outside the town of Amalfi. The views are simply breathtaking. The large whirlpool in our junior suit had a view of the coast. The food at the two restaurants was very good. The pool area and fitness center were quite impressive at sea level. As you can guess by the title of the review, the customer service was outstanding. Truly warm hospitality characterized our entire stay. The entire staff was helpful and enthusiastic. We really felt welcomed. Overall, you can expected a memorable experience that's in keeping with the beauty of the area.
