My wife and I spent 3 days here at the beginning of October as part of our 3+ weeks in Italy. We travel extensively all over the world and have become fairly picky in our accommodations. We are always looking for places to stay where we can go explore for a few hours each day but then return to where we are staying to just relax and enjoy our holiday. We had a room with a balcony that had amazing views of the coast and Amalfi itself. The property is amazing with some history, great location, very tastefully decorated, top-notch staff, and just a great property. It is expensive; however, rather reasonable compared to everything else in Italy. There really isn't anything to do in Amalfi as it seemed to be just tourist shops. We explored the village for a few hours but that was plenty and then we returned to the Convento. The service and food in the restaurant were top-notch just like everything else. We moved on to Positano as our next stop during our Italian holiday and were really missing the Convento as soon as we arrived at our next property. I did not question my decision to stay here once I arrived and would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would say that could be improved was the internet service. I needed to work remotely a few times and the internet access was painfully slow at all times.
