We stayed in Amalfi for a week and most mornings stopped here to have a coffee of some description either a cappuccino, espresso, americano etc. If you appreciate coffee this is the place to go. I found the quality of coffee on The Amalfi Coast already very good but the coffee here was consistently good. It was always served at the right temperature, with creamy, smooth froth. There was a large variety of pastries and cakes to choose from which were fresh and of good quality. We were served most mornings by the same girl who was very pleasant and recommended some restaurants around town for us. We also wanted to try the chocolate at the chocolatier across the piazza but unfortunately the shop assistant there seemed so rude that we left the shop before ordering.

My husband was draw into this little quaint restuarant by the busy crowd and the delicious pasteries. He enjoyed some of the specialties and was greeted by one of the family and shown to the kitchen to see and meet the wonderful bakers. He very much enjoyed himself and that fact that even through the shop was very busy they took the time to answer his courious questions and share the history of this woderful little place. It is nice to see that some things are still handed down through families, I am sure their family is very proud to leave such a wonderful legacy for their family and wonderful food for locals and visitors. We will definately stop in again.

This is the spot in Amalfi to grab a decent coffee - or 2 - from the bar of a morning. It's on the main piazza beside the church - check out the gorgeous ceramic shop opposite.

Famous, perfect positioned beneath the Amalfi Dome. But you pay twice as much as necessary. The staff is strange. However, the have some very interesting and nice 'sugar matured oranges', but one of them and eat it somewhere else.

A stylish and central tea room at the foot of the steps to the Duomo. The selection of teas and cakes was superb!
