This is by far my favorite thing we’ve done!! We were in Positano for 5 days and did this on our very last night here!! There were 8 of us on the boat and it was a wonderful time! Our captain and skipper were AMAZING and so informative! They made are experience even better! The wine was great and the views were phenomenal!! The boat was clean and absolutely GORGEOUS! Would definitely recommend this trip, especially with Coast lines! We stayed in Positano but caught the boat in Amalfi and our skipper dropped us off in Positano at the end of our trip to save us a bus ride back. Talk about excellent service!! :) An unforgettable experience!

One of the best ways to spend a day on the Amalfi Coast ...... over eight hours of pure bliss. The most beautiful turquoise water you will ever see in amongst caves and grottos that are captivating. Capri itself is gorgeous, great restaurants and good shopping, spectacular boats on display both to and from the island and a swim in the Mediterranean on the way home. Excellent facilities onboard, drinks provided and a host with an wonderful knowledge of the area and it’s history. Great way to spend a day.

We had the best day, we left Sorrento (collected from our hotel) and had a great day swimming, viewing the coast, visiting the towns, and an overall amazing experience.

The small boat and the small group experience made it unforgettable. The champagne after swimming in the sea was a welcomed touch!

A must do when visiting Sorrento!

We did the boat tour from Amalfi to Capri, the tour guide was fantastic! Very accommodating and humorous, shared lots of information along the way, offered to take pictures at all of the nice scenery spots, offered drinks most of the trip and stopped at a few swimming spots to and from Capri. Highly recommend this tour, the scenery is fantastic and the guides are all very friendly and outgoing.

We booked this tour to go to Capri. It was okay nothing great. We were picked up right in the Amalfi marina area and go on board with a small group. Went to another location to pick up more people. Then headed towards Capri. It was a rough day for seas. Of course the highlight would of been Blue Grotto but it was closed, noone's fault. In the reviews you are told you will see a lot of Grottos, only feel like we saw two others. When you finally reach them there is a wait of boats to see them like a freeway, we did come in high season though. Then we stopped at one place to swim. We opted to not swim because we knew we were going to go to Capri and thought there were other options to swim after. Well when we finally got to Capri we were offered an option for the group another swim or longer time on Capri. The boat picked more time on Capri. We had 4 hours to kill! Capri is beautiful but I didnt want to shop as part of my excursion. We got lunch and waited for the boat to head back. We were supposed to see Postiano on the way back but the seas were so bad and everyone was sopping wet and had to go underneath to stay dry. Overall I wish I would of booked a private excursion.

There is no need to describe how beautiful Amalfi coast is, but I thought I will write down few notes about the trip I recently had there with my partner and my in law.

1) Going from Naples train station to Sorrento.
The Circumvesuviana train line will take you from Naples to Sorrento for a cheap price, however it is not an enjoyable experience.
The train is always packed and it is heaven for pickpockets which usually get off the train after few stops from the departure.
Beware of people having jackets or other item covering their hand so that to hide what they do with them, and people trying to distract you. If possible carry nothing valuable in you pockets and keep backpack pockets always on sight.
Past Pompei the train usually gets more liveable.

2) Pompei

If you stay on a town with a train station on the Circumvesuviana train line there is no need to book a tour to visit Pompei, the train will take you right in front of the entrance.

Prepurchasing the ticket online will allow you to skip a long queue for an extra 3 euro each.

3) Going around Amalfi coast

If you need to be on somewhere on time catch the ferry.
If you can afford time the bus will take everywhere on the Amalfi coast, eventually.
The ferry is of course more expensive.
You need to be a confident driver to drive around the narrow roads of Amalfi coast, preferably with a small car.

4) Catching the bus for the Path of the God walk from Amalfi.

The walk starts on Bomerano, however the bus won't have any signs mentioning this name.
Despite the fact that all the buses are parked well in advance in the bus terminal on Amalfi, the bus drivers won't be able to tell you in advance which bus will go to Bomerano. I had the impression that the bus drivers decide on the spot who is going where and with which bus.
When is about the time for the bus to leave you will have to keep asking to any departing bus (driver) if they go to Bomerano.
This was confusing even for an Italian!

Also there is going to be fountains with drinkable water along the way on the Path of the God

I wish we had more time ti stay few nights on the amalfi cost, but if can’t, then I recommend this one day trip to see it all.
A word if advise, when you are offered an excursion in amalfi to see it from a boat, don’t bother.. it was a waste of money and time i could have well spent on seeing more of the city.
