My husband and I have been in Amalfi for a week. We have enjoyed various restaurants in terms of price and location. We had dinner at da Baracca on our last evening in Amalfi. The service was very slow and the food was mediocre and unsubstantial. When we asked for the bill, the manager/owner composed it by hand. My husband always does a "gross error check" so that he knows roughly what to expect when the bill arrives. He estimated 70 euro so we were surprised when presented with a bill for 101 euros. We immediately asked for the menu and, unsurprisingly, the bill was corrected to 71 euros - without much of an apology. We do not believe that this was a genuine error. We would highly recommend 'ND A' Mecca which is to the right of, and adjacent to, da Baracca. Having eaten at da Baracca, we checked the reviews and we are not surprised by the negative comments.
