“Delicious food, reasonable prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

LOVED this restaurant! Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly staff!
We came here for lunch, loved our meal so came here for dinner. It is well worth it to leave the main stretch and seek this place out. The seafood is very fresh- you can taste the difference, and the ingredients used seem to be the best- ie ripe tomatoes, fresh basil etc

Appetizers
Sautéed mussels- garlic and oil sauce. I loved this dish. The mussels do not taste fishy at all and is perfect for those who like seafood but dont like the fishy taste. However, the dish is a little on the salty side

Mussels with pepper- also quite good, but definitely more fishy tasting than the above. Better for those who like the more natural taste of muscles

Caprese Salad- fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and lots of basil. Enough said

Marinated seafood- a variety of seafood marinated in vinegar, lemon and oil. I liked it, but some found the lemon and vinegar taste to be too overpowering

Mains
Seafood pasta- Lots of variety of seafood, delicious homemade pasta, loved the sauce

Octopus with chili sauce- loved this dish. It is a tomato based sauce with a little kick. You must try this!

“Favorite Amalfi ristorante”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

We just got back from 4 nights in Amalfi and two weeks in Italy. This was the only place we ate at twice during the whole trip - easily our favorite restaurant in Amalfi. The family who owns this is super nice and friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend ordering the home made pasta. And the prices are VERY reasonable. It is a little bit of a walk from the center of town, but worth every step. The ambiance could use a little work, but otherwise, this place was perfect for us.

“Fantastic seafood stew”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

This restaurant is away from the heaving crowds of Amalfi which is a real bonus. As stated it is family run and welcoming. My husband ordered the seafood stew which was an amazing dish of prawns, mussels, clams, squid and octopus in a rich tomato sauce. The flavours were incredible, the freshness of all the ingredients wonderful, a truly memorable meal to finish our trip here. I had the fried prawns, squid and whitebait which was also great.
As stated they do not cook pizzas at lunchtime as the pizza oven is not fired up then.

“Great friendly Family Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

We went twice for dinner and found the food delicious, reasonably priced and good sized portions. Great pizzas, delicious spaghetti with mussels, spaghetti puttanesca and seafood risotto. A distance away from town centre but just a stone's throw from where we were staying, worth the short walk!!

“Worth the walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

Ferried down from Positano for the day, and needed a place to eat lunch. Noticed good reviews on TA, so walked up to il Mulino. Glad we did. Although disappointed - when we arrived that we were told "no pizza today", we were all amazed by the excellent pasta's, including scialatielli alla sciliana, spaghetti alla carbonara, and pasta e fagioli. Very nice outside seating in a completely local neighborhood away from the hussle bustle of the piazza.
Highly recommended!
