The food at Il Tari is great but the staff are not that welcoming and seemed annoyed that their restaurant was filling up with customers. Maybe they were relieved when a couple of people got up and left after having abrupt conversations with the waiters about items on the menu. This aside, it was one of the better restaurants we went to on Amalfi. I had the set tourist menu which included a delicious spaghetti with mussels and clam sauce while my husband picked from the a la carte menu and sampled an amazing chicken cacciatore. If you are not worried about attentive or pleasant staff, the food here will bring you back.
