“The best in Amalfi.”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We spent a week in Amalfi and Atrani and this was the best restaurant we tried. The menu was adventurous rather than extensive and everything we ate was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and very flavoursome. The starter of octopus cooked in three different ways was imaginative and delicious and the lamb dish was excellent in all respects. The wine list was comprehensive and we enjoyed an excellent bottle of Taurasi. The service was warm, efficient and stylish. We will go back here.

My husband and I were staying the Hotel Marina Riviera, and were recommended to dine at Eolo by the staff. We were a little weary since the restaurant was steps from the hotel and we thought this might just be the typical agreement between restaurant and hotel to shuttle tourists in, but were pleasantly surprised by Eolo. This restaurant is pretty small, so make sure to make a reservation, and if possible ask to be seated by the window to get the breathtaking view of Amalfi while you dine. We received some of the most fantastic service for both the wine and the food. My husband and I have agreed that one of the best things we ate during our trip was the complimentary appetizer fried spaghetti that was so much more incredible than it sounds). Even if you are feeling totally full, splurge for the “end of the world” dessert which was absolutely amazing.

“Wonderful service and surprising food”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Eolo service was friendly and yet full of passion for the wine and food served. The wine is decanted and served in quality glasses with a Sommelier to provide advice on a comprehensive wine list. The moon pasta and potato with truffles was the highlight of our dishes but the clever interaction of unusual elements such as chocolate and lamb or a sweet with eggplant and orange and chocolate showed a restaurant that understand food but willing to take a risk. The meal was one of the best in Europe and I hope they have a degustation menu soon so the food can be enjoyed as the clever chef intended. The additional touches such as a desert wine to accompany dessert and a small gift for my wife leave lasting impressions of a wonderful night.

“Every bite is very special”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Wonderful and most friendliest service we have seen among different restaurants in Amalfi. From the first bite to the last the pleasures of comsumming very carefully prepared appetizers, pasta and main plates keep you puzzled of their ingredients. This is a very small place unlike any other traditional restaurant In Amalfi. Absolutely incredible additions served in between and after your meals. The Grand Finale is their dessert Il Fino del Mondo ( The End of The World) , no words to describe, stunning presentation and incredible taste.Bravo!

“Wonderful atmosphere”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

This restaurant has an amazing view of the town of Amalfi and very romantic. The staff was excellent and very professional.

The food was good, but you must be be willing to try area food prepared with flare.

Not for the average taste buds, but worth a try.
