Located near piazza del Sedile that is in the busy part of the old town. Inside a stylish modern suite of rooms white and elegant. Of course no view as in most Matera restaurants. Menu has a limited number of entries. But they are quite unique and for those we had very good and tasty. Quite a culinary experience for the double cooked pork. But keep some space for truly delicious desserts ! Price a little high but right for the overall quality !

We didn't had a good experience at this restaurant. Welcome is was poor, not very friendly, the restaurant offers a nice decoration. The wine was good but the food was not what we expected. Not good, no taste. When we said we was disappointed, the waiter said " i don't speak english", but she understood something wrong. No one came to try to understand why we were not happy.
Please, next time check if your guest was happy about your food.
We left without any thanks... I don't recommend this restaurant.

We arrived for dinner and I had only two starters having had a big lunch my partner had a set menu of 5 courses. We were served an interesting amuse bouche of sous vide cucumber with beetroot powder. Everything is elegantly presented. I had aubergine parmagina (light and tasty with very interesting tomato ice cream) initially followed by a fave bean spinach, scampi and fois gras - which was quite pleasant but I did not like the almost raw scampi but the fois gras was nicely cooked The portion sizes we had were small to medium. We had wine by the glass which were enjoyable. My partners meal description taken from the menu: Fagottino di scarola su cremadi Taleggio Lucano −
Parmigiana di melanzane, burrata e gelato al pomodoro
Era "La Poveraccia"... Cavatelli, coulis di datterini, crema di olive e capperi, alici del Cantabrico e pane di Matera •−Maialino* in doppia cottura con crema di peperone giallo
Cannolo de la Gattabu - it was a diverse and interesting option to give a flavour of the region and innovative all beautifully presented. Service was friendly and prompt. The chef sent me an additional cannoli as he didn't like to see me not eating! Very kind. I made the mistake of having a tea after the meal - which was poor and luke warm but my partner had a great coffee. This is a restaurant with great ambitions - not all dishes were perfect but inspiring and creative.

We have been 5 persons to have lunch at a Friday in march 2019. There weren't much people in the restaurant. We choose the local antipasti (very tasty) an then octopus for a starter. Then 3 of us had agnello (very good) and the other beaf. To accompany the meal with had a really marvelous red wine (40 EURO), aglianico del vulture, eleano 2013, simply perfect. Service was at it's best, good recommendations, not to expensive. For dolce we tasted different proposals from the service, that were all very good. Regarding the atmosphere of the restaurant; as it was too cold and windy to eat outside we had taken place inside in a beautiful an sober place. Worth to go back for sure

Excellent pasta (Maltagliati pasta with white local lamb meat souce) and even better cannoli (local sweet). Very good local wine - Bauccio! Service - very pleasant.
