“Great stay in a great city”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Hotel Alba is in the heart of Pescara and offers a good night's rest in a city that deserves more attention. The hotel is comfortable, clean and run with a friendly attitude and offers a good breakfast. All in all a first rate stopover. It's greatest advantage is its location surrounded by buzzy bars and real restaurants serving very good food.

I stayed here for one night after a late flight in from Stansted, in a first floor family room (beds: double and a small single)

Location: 10 mins walk from beach, but also 5 mins from the central bus and train stations - quiet area

general decor of hotel: lots of murals with cherubs, etc in the rooms as well as all the public rooms - interesting and not overpowering - makes this place a nice choice if you want a change from formulaic hotels.

Room: main bed big & comfortable, but small bed is only just over 5 ft long - only a small window and it faced on to a narrowish pedestrianised street, which would get annoying if there a week but fine for one night's stay

bathroom: shoehorned into a corner of the bedroom, so smallish, with only a shower, but good fttings and the free toiletries are ok quality

breakfast: best thing about the hotel - no hot food (unless you count toast!) but great choice buffet - juices, tea, coffee, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit - helpful staff on hand to assist

All in all a good choice for a short stay.

Centrally located, near great shopping, 10 minute walk to beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. Very clean. Rooms were somewhat small but comfortable. Breakfast was good but limited selection. Great coffee. Good for short stays.

This is our 3rd time in Hotel Alba and we have enjoyed every time. Great location. Spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast room and buffet style breakfast. Great staff always willing to help. Thanks again!

Stayed here in July 2012 with my gf. The hotel has a great location in the centre of beautiful Pescara, in the middle of the shopping district. Classy shopping, at that. The decor is the hotel is really beautiful and luxurious. The regular rooms didn't look very exciting and we saw that they very from quite big to really small. However the hotel was full and they gave us one of the two suites. It was an amazing and really really beautiful room. On top of that the breakfast was good and the lady who made the coffee was super friendly and attentive. I reckon i might have rated the hotel lower if we'd had a regular room, though the decor and service were outstanding. But the suite - and the free upgrade - legendary. Thank you so much.

Room Tip: Ask for a free upgrade to the suite ;)

Good for the budget traveler. A bit tricky to find in the small streets if you are driving but they have a parking garage you can leave your car in. It is near the center and very close to the beach and little cafes. Staff is very friendly and the hotel has breakfast included and AC! Would recommend if you are stopping over or for a couple day stay.

The room and the breakfast were alright, but the hotel staff was one of the worst i have ever experienced. They were rude, not welcoming at all, and since we had to take an early flight, we were promissed a cup of coffee in the morning, instead of the breakfast (which we had already paid for). But when we asked for it in the morning the guy at the front office very rudly asked what were we dreaming about.
