We really enjoyed our 'tour' at the Pierre Legras champagne house. Marcelline and Vincent were very friendly and welcoming. In fact Pierre Legras is now one of our favourites. Luckily we know where to get it from in Brussels... so we don't have to make the long journey.

“Everything you need to know about Champagne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2011

In the heart of this Grand Cru village my wife and I were greeted and made most welcome by Marcelline and Vincent. They made us feel at home and gave their time willingly showing us the process of how champagne is produced and their cellars. Marcelline speaks good English and answered all our questions with interest and enthusiasm about their production, vinyard and champagne. They made it a really informative and personal visit where we learned so much more than our visits to the big champagne houses.

Our tasings were informal where we were able to discuss the bouquet, flavours and types of champagne they produce unhurried and with no pressure.

Go see them , you will not be disappointed with your visit. They produce great quality champagne too.

“A magnificent way to spend an afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2011

From the moment we were met to the moment we left we could not have been better looked after. The enthusiasm for Champagne making was evident from the start and enthralled all of us with a passion for what we were witnessing.

The tour of how Champagne is made was fascinating and very informative, nine blokes in total silence as we reverently looked at row upon row of filled bottles, an amazing sight.

Then to the tasting, what Champagne, three different bottles, all so different all so delicious.

A truly magnificent way to spend an afternoon, email them, ring them go and see them.

“A Great Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2011

A two hour visit to Champagne Pierre Legras was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in the Champagne region. Our personal tour (we called ahead to set it up) was led by Vincent Legras and his wife, who patiently explained the process of making champagne and explained their machinery and facilities in perfect detail for a couple of novices. Though the exterior of their operation is unassuming, it hides some fascinating equipment and an amazing champagne storage space underground. After the tour Vincent led us through a tasting, which was great fun with our new-found champagne knowledge. If you are looking for a perfectly choreographed tour through a big-name champagne house you might want to look elsewhere, but if you want a friendly and personalized tour from the makers themselves, a fascinating education about champagne, and a relaxed tasting in a non-commercial setting, I highly recommend a visit to Pierre Legras!
