“Good place!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

We have spent 5 nights in this hotel. And we had a great holiday. The room was nice and clean, the view was great and the staff was friendly. The hotel is located outside the centre, but this is a good excuse for a good walk. A bit less satisfying was the breakfast and sometimes noisy rooms. But these were only minor things during a satisfying stay.

Modern hotel with great free wifi even on the top floor. Bit of noise from elevator as room was close to that and noise from adjacent rooms, but not bad enough to prevent sleeping. Disappointed that the safe required a daily rental fee. Breakfast buffet had a good selection but strange-tasting scrambled egg. Service from the front desk was excellent.

Room Tip: Top floor but not 801 close to the elevator.

Very nice and modern hotel. We stayed here as a couple in May 2012.
The hotel is very close to the City of Arts and Science and that suited us because we wanted to satay in this area to study and explore the surroundings including the Gulliver Park and the Oceanarium.
The lobby and the reception looked very modern and stylish.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
We did not have breakfast or dinner as we liked to eat in town.
We would like to come back again and stay at this lovely hotel.
The value for money...excellent.

The first impression was that the hotel is located at a great place is well connected. The lobby and the rooms were really neat and tidy and had balacony with a good view if you are road facing. The problem for us started when we got up in the morning and ordered for tea. The front office told us the room service starts at 1300hrs so if there is anything you need you and to go get it yourself. The hotel does not provide you with an iron if you need and if you gave them clothes you are recieving them in next 24hrs. I have a 19months son for whom we need hot water which means we might need it at night too, the front office very conveniently told us that there is only one staff at night and we can get hot water till 12 midnight only. I just want to suggest them that if they have only one staff at night and cant provide things as basic as hot water in the room then atleast should provide a machine from which we can help our ownselves as its available in every hotel and nothing that the hotel has to spend extra on. The front office was very rude in explaining us about not providing water which made it even more worst. The hotel is very short staffed for the impression it gives when you enter it. The room service staff were very humble and polite with equally rude and impolite front desk reception. Was dissappointed for a 4star property it calls itself....!!

I stayed for two nights while on a business tour. The hotel is conveniently located along one of Valencia's main routes (easy access from/to airport) and 10 minutes walking time from the modern landmarks. Although a tourist attraction - this part of town has a couple of large shopping malls but few coffee houses, bars or restaurants. For these you really need to look for a place much closer to old town.

Rooms are modern and functional.
Please note: (1) You need to pay extra 3.4 EUR/day for a safe deposit in your room, (2) WiFi internet is NOT free -yet its reception was terrible (almost useless) at the 5th floor (and not much better near the lobby). You could pay 2 EUR/hr and use the hotel computer.
Breakfast was plane.

Well, there some advantages which I could mention, like the free swimming pool but it is so common for hotels in Spain of such a level that it does not worth mentioning.
Another advantage is staff who really tried to speak English. And also became nervous or seemed so and finally changed us the room they had chosen for us.

As for disadvantages, I would like to stop on them because there were really serious ones.
1. BOOKING
We had booked a double room (= “with one big bed” as we had written in the commentaries for our booking). So it was a real surprise for us when we were told that the hotel has only 8 rooms with big beds and they are already busy. What irritated me most was wheedling of the administrator. First, he tried to convince us that ‘double’ means for 2 persons (not ‘twin’) so we had made a mistake when booking. Then he said that it doesn't matter what we asked for: they had taken it into account when they received my booking and when we arrived they inquired if at that time there were some rooms with one bed or not. If yes - they would give it to us, if no – well, they are very sorry but they cannot do anything.
For sure I would never stayed in a hotel with two beds, otherwise I would have booked a TWIN room. But it was written in black and white: “with one big bed”. If the hotel knew that they would not have such rooms when we came, they should have informed us in advance so that we could choose another hotel. But it is known that it is impossible to cancel you booking later than one day before the arrival (or even earlier which depends on the hotel).

2. LYING of the STAFF
Actually, in some time the administrator somehow found a free room. It was small but the fact is the fact: there were some free double room in the hotel, so I cannot understand why we had been said the opposite.

3. SIZE
As I had already said the room was small. Actually, it was ok (clean, neat), but the shower bath was really tiny. Very-very uncomfortable.

4. BREAKFAST.
For such a hotel the breakfast was awful. Of course there was a buffet but the variety was poor. It means that there was hot meal but it was only omelette, there was cheese but only one type, the same with meat. No fruits. There was some pastry (may be 3 types which seems to be good) but it was absolutely dry.

5. LOCATION.
The hotel is far from the city centre. Possibly to go on foot but once or twice in order to see the district, not more. You always know the location in advance but it seems logical to await some connection between different characteristics. So if it is far from the center but not cheap, it must be of high quality, so if the quality is such poor, at least it has to be in the center.

6. ENGLISH
Of course it is common that nobody speaks English in Spain. But it is a hotel. And a hotel which pretends to be a good 3-star hotel. But in such a hotel some people from the staff at the reception have very poor knowledge of English. Or do not want to show, if they have good one, which often happens in Spain.
