This was our first visit to Valencia and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. Very impressed with the apartment which was ideal for our family of 4 (me, husband, and 2 children), but perfectly suitable for a couple. Location-wise, It was 5 minutes walk from the beach and opposite a bus stop which took you straight into the city centre (I'd recommend Russafa and El Carmen areas for eating, drinking, walking), or, if preferred, just around the corner is the tram stop which is a little quicker. If you're looking for 'authenticity' then La Cabanal is for you, with its streets lined with fisherman's houses with their idiosyncratic architecture and mosaic designs, and the people were friendly. See them before the developers move in! There are also plenty of excellent tapas bars, restaurants, and bars within walking distance, although we tended to avoid the the touristy strip on the seafront. We only met him once, but the owner Paco was very friendly and helpful. In short - highly recommended.
We booked this apartment for 6 days, traveling with our 2,5 year old son. I asked if there was a baby bed available: Owner arranged a babybed and a lot of toys for him to play with!!!
So sweet of him. He welcomed us with a cake and there was fresh milk and water for us in the fridge.
Completely equipped apartment with microwave, oven, toaster, waterboiler etc, even tea, coffee and the necessary products for cooking such as salt pepper sugar herbs olive oil were there.
And because there were now renters after us we were allowed to stay in the appartment till we had to go to the airport!!

Stayed a week with my wife, 20 yr old daughter and friend. Apartment is on 6th floor (lift in building) and very well appointed with two bedrooms, air-con (plus overhead fan in master bedroom), fully fitted kitchen including full sized oven & hob, fridge, freezer, washer/ dryer, dish washer, microwave, toaster, plenty of pans, glasses, crockery and coffee machine! The only minor disappointment was the relatively low water pressure for the shower - run another tap or flush the loo and it reduced to a trickle. The apartment is very well located for the metro (Dr Lluch stop a couple of minutes walk away), supermarket (5 minutes walk) and beach only 5 minutes away. Although it's a town beach it's huge and clean, with showers plus toilets and places to hire loungers. In our week we were able to visit the beach every day and still saw all the main sites including the Cathedral, City of Arts & Sciences (spectacular architecture), Turia Park, Ceramics Museum, Central Market, La Lonja & Institute of Modern Art using the metro and walking from the apartment. On the last night we had wonderful tapas at Casa Montana (currently #37 out of over 2,000 Valencia restaurants on Tripadvisor and deservedly so - book well ahead for a table) that was only a five minute walk away. Highly recommend Valencia as a city break combining culture, sun, the beach and this apartment!
